Rebuilding sites from Wayback Archive?

I hear mixed opinions on this, some say it's a big nono to do so, and others say it's good. Can we get some discussion going on this topic?
I'm building a large network of clean sites, these are not quick and dirty PBN's but real websites, but in the end they're still going to be used to power up a few money sites. In this process I'm buying expired/auction domains and in the cases where there are tons of old blog-posts in Wayback Archive I will take the content to rebuild the important pages.
Please let me know the pros/cons of doing this :-)

If old content was stolen and re-purposed, it won't be worth it.
Check up plagiarism scores.
 
Either you can recover entire archive using a service like archiverix. You can also recover those relevant pages that are getting referring domains/traffic, so for the rest of the pages, you can 301 to the homepage.
 
Thanks for the input, i'm obviously checking the content for plagiarism before using it, but in case it's clean, then what's the issue since some PBN people still say it's big nono... Just wondering if there's any consensus :)
 
Wrong.........G keeps a history of original content sources.....the original domain will outrank the the domain which stole the content...tested many times.....that is why expired article will not rank or rank very hard if they are not rewriten.

I have purchased multiple expired domains. Sooner or later Google is going to notice our sneaky little secrets of the websites. But you can try your best to make it look legit as much as possible to keep them ranked for the longer time. I have tried adding content from the wayback machine. There comes a limit and a time that you have to start creating original content as a part of the competition. Though you have added old content, not adding new content will somehow affect your website negative way.

Why is a sneaky secret? Imagine if someone dropped their domain as they forgot to renew the domain, and they didn't have any backup of the old site, then what would they do to recover most of their hard work from years ago? - Wayback would be my personal goto. How can Google determine if this is what has happened or not?

Can you expand on that? You are the first one I have come across who states that G actually registers the original content and the initial domain it appeared on. If I was G I would probably do that, BUT what if one decided to start over with a new domain name and simply takes all its content to the new domain? Let's assume this person isn't SEO savvy, doesn't do redirects to the new domain. So in essence, the new site would have trouble ranking due to the same content being re-used (if we exclude all the other ranking factors out of the equation).

Just thinking out loud...
 
Ever wondered why u keep getting those emails when you add a new website to the search console to 301 redirect your old website to the new website even if is not the case?....this is the only way G can keep your website stats and pass it to the new domain.

If u move to a new domain and it takes a while and your website gets deindexed and you forget to 301 redirect the old domain to the new domain.....yes you will have a hard time ranking those articles.
