First off, this has probably been posted a million times before - I'm full aware of that.

The thing is, I'm getting super frustrated. The recommendations are all the same.

I'll give you some background:

I've been writing content/doing odd SEO work for a few years. I'm in school and decided to do some serious content writing to make some extra cash. I realized that if I had a group of people writing, I could earn much more by taking on a ton of clients. So, my group of friends and I decided to do it together since they all have some IM experience.

I see all of these companies writing horrible content and they're totally bringing in the clients. It's so frustrating because we're not only better, but we charge a similar price.

So, I forked over the $20 to post in the Warriors for Hire section. I offered 5 free review copies and only 3 people wanted free reviews! Those were the only bites. I checked their post history and those requesters always ask for review copies so that doesn't say too much.

I've posted on Digital Point. I had 2 customers. One was wonderful - 1200 word article. However, it was his first time ordering content and was just testing out the services. The other, a man from India, had totally unrealistic expectations. He wanted 17 articles in less than 1 day for a ridiculously low price. Spent 2 hours trying to haggle with me.

I've also tried cold emailing. Most responses were just thanking me for reaching out and they'll let us know when they need content in the future.

Unfortunately, I don't have the budget for advertising.

If anyone can come up with some other ideas, I would really, really appreciate it! I'm kind of on the verge of giving up this project, but with the effort I've put in so far, I'd rather not.

you better join fiverr, elance, o desk, seoclerks

I've joined Fiverr...no luck and apparently it takes 14 days for payments to be processed which is just ridiculous. I was scammed by Elance, so won't be heading back there. oDesk is the same and I've never tried seoclerks, but I was under the impression it wasn't the greatest. I'll check it out.

post here if your quality is good. its really worth mate!!!

Have you tried job boards like iwriter out, there are always writing jobs and if you do consistently well, you may get regular clients. There are many content providers online so things could get tougher. Try advertising on different forums, this one being the best one out there.

thanks aty1985 I'll take a look at those links. I would LOVE to post here actually. I feel it seems a lot better than Warriors for Hire, but I believe you must be a Jr. VIP to post in the Marketplace which takes 2 months to achieve and I'm a new member :(

Spend your time writing content for your own website, and it will pay off.

OPen a BST here.... There is a big demand for content here all the time.

Use 7878's method of obtaining clients. He has a unique offline method that could be applied to any niche if done right.
