Hi all,

Been reading this site for a few months and already learnt TONS - its a fantastic resource.

Anyway I've read up alot about ebooks (subsequently selling them through clickbank). People talking about how they are making quite a good amount of money from this.

My question is simple - honestly, is it really possible to make say 50K a year from this? Or do all these people have vested interests in pretending they're super successful and thus getting you to buy their 'back-end' stuff (i.e. teaching how to do the same etc).

Be interesting to hear actual truths from those who have done it and the actual real results.

Cheers
Andrew

I think yes, 50k/year is 4200/month

So i think its possible, Only 1 way to prove it , take action and do something and get 5000/Month :P

Good luck

no, not for you. if that was possible for you , you were already on your way earning, not posting question like this.

There are a lot of people "selling shovels at the gold rush" .but then there are so many genuine business selling decent products online. So I say yes but not easy nowadays. Competitors are well established for almost everything

I'm sure people do it but there are much easier ways to make money that take way less time.

Cheers, Andrew

1.) The good news is... It is possible to make $50k per year or more doing IM
2.) The potentially bad new is... There is no push button, secret system to make it withou investing some time and effort

But if you Really want it... and put in the right actions... you can do it.

Pick ONE strategy.
Follow it through from beginning to end
Track your results
Evaluate the outcome
Keep doing what worked
Once you make your first $1...
Try to find a way to automate or outsource
Scale it up

Just my $.02

Hope it helps

Mike

yes it is definitely possible, there is "fast" money but never "easy" money, cheers!

Andrew,

All of the above posters are completely correct on this. A common theme here, though, is to take action. While we are writing responses to this, it takes away from our IM activities, however, the simple fact is that if you READ what we are all writing, then you will see something very interesting about YOUR behavior.

See, by reading our replies, we are in fact building trust. It is this type of trust-building activity that will go a long way to making you a successful marketer. Have you ever sat at a restaurant with others, taken a bite of something, and said "mmm, you gotta try this!" Sure, most of us have. In front of complete strangers, people would be quite reluctant to sample food right off your plate. If these people 'know' you or have some sort of general connection, then this would be much easier to get someone to try a bite of your food. On to IM and eBook marketing...

Competition is the toughest aspect of successful eBook marketing. The ones who are really successful are using affiliates to sell their products for them. Many of the successful affiliates have been on board with the publisher for long periods of time and are often given information to create a campaign long before the product or eBook launches. If you don't have successful products yet, then you will have a difficult time attracting these 'super' affiliates to make you big money.

So, the proper way to go about doing this would be to separate yourself from the competition. Don't try and produce information on 'how to make $ in IM' or anything so saturated. Instead, write about topics and niches that you are somewhat familiar with. Become somewhat of an authority with a number of links to sites and informational pages or blogs that you created on the subject. Once you gain this momentum in a niche, you will have better ability to attract affiliates to sell your products for you. Target your audience by capturing e-mails and sending short surveys to them about what information they would like to receive. Then, deliver...give this targeted audience some FREE automated articles in your 'report' that are simply just spun past posts already located on your niche blog or website.

If you can brand yourself or be the first to launch a product or eBook in a certain niche, then you will at least stay ahead of some of your competition. Rinse and repeat to stay fresh or just apply this to other niches before the one you're in starts to slow down.

Another think to think about...

Instead of creating just Clickbank eBook products, research other growing markets such as Kindle eBooks. With the explosion of the Kindle market and projected growth in this industry over the next several years, you might be able to find that competition in certain niches is lighter. There are lots of avenues to go with eBooks and digital products. Just find one approach and test, test, test.

Good Luck on your path!

To everyone - thanks HEAPS!!! Greatly appreciate the comments and Dawgtown thanks for taking the time to write that thorough post - all of them inspire me to realise that it is possible. I didn't mean my post to make it sound like I wanted a 'get rich scheme', I know NOTHING comes easy without hard work.

I should explain more about my situation - I've just recently created a website for a family friend whereby she has created an ebook (which I formatted for her in Indesign, etc etc) and she's looking to sell it online. Anyway, while doing every step - it dawned on me, 'I can so do this - and do everything'. I created the ebook for her (though she did the content, but I enjoy writing so could do that), I did the website, did the graphics, set up clickbank for her etc. So even right now, assuming I really did my research and found a niche that isn't just everyday common stuff, I could do just this or even have multiple ebook sites. Already I've learnt heaps from this forum about the SEO and even having things like other domains with a review blog etc. Like I said, I enjoy writing so I could even create like 10 articles and then spin them etc.

One question though.. is it wrong minded of me to want to do the 'whole banana' like this as it were? I know people will swear by outsourcing. I thought if I do get into this ebook area, to at least do a few books myself - even though it would be more time consuming, but I'd learn alot more through the process. I know too people talk about really achieving success via selling existing books through being an affiliate.. but that is always another avenue.

I have a PT job at the moment but it could become FT in the coming months. So it'd be the perfect time to set this stuff up and then still have an hour or two a day to spend on them (and obviously more time on the weekends). I don't ever want to just have an employee mentality - really this IM stuff is the way of the future, and it has alot more upside potential than just a 9-5 job.

Thanks again to all. I'm really going to pursue this and am absolutely willing to put in hard work to try and achieve my goals - and if not, refine my strategy and try again.

Cheers
Andrew

If you want to make the money they are making do not follow what they teach but do what they do,think about it.

It certainly isn't easy to make $50,000 on day one but if you read this forum - take notes - learn - make some money and buy some tools - then expand - you can do it.

Ways to Get There

* Sell Seo / ORM or Social Media Services to Clients
* Sell Websites To Clients
* CPA
* Affiliate Marketing
* Build Yourself a List on a Niche and Email Out Offers
* Make Your Own Product
* Offer Services Using Tools You Bought (SeNuke/Magic Submitter/Ultimate Demon/Xrumer) ... or become an Article Writer
* Buy Fiverr Services -- Resell on Craigslist or to Clients
* Ebay/Amazon - dropshipping

Look I know it's not easy to get started and understanding it all today - but the faster you start learning and getting involved the faster money will appear in your Paypal or Bank Account.

Best of Luck
