Really need help with affilliate website

hi, im new to all this but heard its quite good once you know how. Ive just bought a ready made affiliate site for amazon selling external storage devices. The site is all up and running but now I need to advertise it and need it higher up the ranks on google.
could anyone help me with this? im not looking to spend a lot to begin with I just want to get some sales and abit of money to get started and see how it goes.

I'm going to start by saying that making money and especially decent money is going to be difficult with an Amazon affiliate site especially with the niche/product you're targeting as your competitors are sites like BestBuy & NewEgg so increasing your ranking(s) for your keyword(s) are going to be difficult. I'd recommend trying AdWords but it'd cost you more to advertise then you'd make from a sales, especially when Amazon is giving only a 3% - 5% commission on sales. If you have a little budget, you should do some searching around the forum and read about making money with PPD Networks with YouTube. It's pretty easy to make money with PPD and requires little start up cash.

I agree with Veryon, this is going to be not an easy task although as mentioned you may ad some PPD teaser which is best suitable for your site ans perhaps other aff &ppc to generate traffic

As you can see after the latest update, Google has become an extension of Amazon.com, basically listing Amazon products all over the place instead of sites like yours.

With google's tendency to benefit the large brands like ebay and amazon, possibly because they pay good money(in ads of course), your niche will be very difficult to rank well. That doesn't mean you won't be making money, it just means you got lots of work and reading ahead of you before your first monkeys arrive in your papal.

thanks for your replies, as I said im just new to this and thought I would give it ago. So what is the PPD? Where can I find info about it?
Im looking to start making money quite quick, not massive amounts because I know that will take a while. But im probably going to loose my job soon so this is why im trying to get started into all this to keep me going.
