Really low earnings with youtube

Hello.

I'm using my youtube account for years now and finally decided to upload some videos.
2-3 months ago i uploaded 2 videos about gaming and i'm earning almost nothing.

The first one earned me ~$4 for 12000 views and the second one a ridiculous $0.02 for 2400 views...
What do you think about that? It's seems really low.

The second video is only 17sec long. Does it matter?

Btw, does the length of the video affect the earnings? I have a nice 9sec video but i'm not sure if it's enough to monetize it.

I think you are not targeting good keywords.
If you select good CPC keywords then you can earn well enough.

It is all about good cpc and good promotional via game networks. You aren't earning any money simply because of keywords, so ask your account manager at the network to give you a list of things to help you increase your earnings and such like keywords to target, etc.

Lol, you guys talking about Keyword, doesn't he already told you that the second videos is only 17 sec .. ? video duration have a major impact on your earning mate

Ok. It seems i missed something about that.
I just stuffed my videos with ~15 keywords and didn't make any keywords research.

And yeah, what about the length of the video? Does it affect a lot the earnings?

Btw i'm partenered with youtube.

Which free software is there to create CPC keywords from for Title, Announcement, Raw File, Custom thumbnail file, Description, and Tags can some one give me advice pls

If you read notes on youtube carefully you can notice it says you can't earn from the video shorter than 30 seconds.

Video Length affects the Earnings for Sure, ive been doing youtube for months now for football niche,
when i uploaded a goal (10 Seconds) it reached 190k views and i only earned 3$. Im not Kidding, but this month a video of 37 seconds(160k views)
gave me 104 Euros.

You should be earning moe than $4 for that amount of views, I would try and consult Google on this matter since they are the only people who can rectify this. Have you also tried boosting your views by advertising yourself on forums?
