Now I will chime in as well. First as I have read ("what is a link") I guess you should start the basic research of the terms used in internet marketing. BUT I would suggest you to start with writing kindle books IF amazon is available in your country and you have a bank card which is accepted by amazon (I do not know which country you are from).
Why kindle?
1. You do not need to know about promoting your content, as Amazon is the best promoter anyway and you save lots in investing into promotion.
2. If you are skilled in any topic try to write an e-book, compile content from the web and make one good ebook. If you are skilled in a special language you could also re-write books from English into your language and offer it on Amazon.
3. Then scale it up, write another one.....
4. If you are from a 3rd world country internet is expensive - you pay per MB up/download. So with this mehod you "only" need to upload your ebook to amazon, no internet necessary, except for uploading.

That is how I made my first $$$, writing an ebook, uploading and for some reason it made money. I scaled it up with similar books and guess it still brings in money on a daily basis after having them online for 5 years now.

That is my 2 cent.
