I constantly see people paying full price for domains, private registration, hosting, SSL Certs, and whatever else you may need. This should seem obvious to most, but I'm actually surprised at how many people don't take advantage of it.

For example, the other day I needed an SSL certificate for a Facebook App. I Googled "SSL Cert Godaddy" and got one year for $5.99/yr. I normally see people pay $50+ dollars for these, and sometimes over $100. $6 is a crazy deal.

Yes, the argument lies that GoDaddy isn't that great of a service. While I don't use it for my main sites, I keep almost all my registered domains in one account there (usually pay 99 cents for them). And you don't really need to use GoDaddy, the same thing works for Bluehost, Hostgator, and most other services.

So depending on what your looking for; domains, ssl, hosting, renewals, private reg, etc; just type that in on Google and click on the paid ads. Feel free to add modifying words like Coupon, Promo Code, or Discount to further expand your search. Paid Ads are good in this case, because it's just Godaddy taking the fee and not them plus an affiliate.

Hope that helps some people. It's saved me a ton of money in the past and will in the future.

Good point you got there. I used to do that myself. I remember back 2 years ago I was looking for a cheap .net due to limited money in my Paypal. Google ads came up with an offer for Netfirms at $4.95. I copied the link and it's still working 2 years later and I have gotten many domains at $4.95 using it.
