I'm curious, what is a realistic cost to have an SEO company do backlink outreach specifically? I'm thinking about trying to find someone to hire, but I have no idea what I'm looking for or what the norm is. Hopefully someone here has some tips/advice.

Some seo agency even charges $500 per 50 keywords

I guess I don't know what I was expecting but that doesn't really seem to be any better than trying to do it myself. The biggest problem I'm running into though is sites want $300+ for a backlink and they are crappy spammy sites. The good sites I can't ever get a response from so no idea what they'd even charge.

I haven't even tried to make a backlink in well over two months at this point, and when I was actively trying before I was lucky to get 1 every 2 weeks.

Hey Mate - It actually depends - what actually are you looking for - SEO/Backlinks or Outreach -

SEO Package starts with approx $100
Outreach (Guest Post) price depends on the kind of website you select as per your target / budget / niche

It varies depends on the number of keywords and url.

There are some good SEO agencies that charge a premium but provide a good experience.

The avg cost of Outreach starts with $300 for 2-3 good backlinks(i.e for proven SEO Agencies with track records.

Some only charges 50-100$ but they will charge for creating backlinks + the amount the company/website charges

Nothing is fixed here

It all depends on your budget but be cautious
 
For outreach, I think it's better to hire a freelancer and pay him 50-60$ per posting
the prices I've seen from the agencies are way overpriced.
