i've been trying to create a new hostgator account with US info, i got it all, but the thing is, i'm not in the US, so i use VPN service, but hostgator always detect it, every time i create an account with them they cancel because it appears that i'm using some data center VPN service and they ask me to signup with my real IP address, i used HMA and strong VPN, but i still face the same problem, how could i get some real US IP address that is not easy to detect that it's some data center or dedicated server company IP address, thanks.

May I know why would you need US IP to sign-up with hostgator?

ryan-isra no problem, i just create US hostgator accounts to get the free 100$ Google adwords vouchers, i know these codes are all over the web and i could buy as much of them as i need for really cheap prices, but the thing is that i'm Egyptian, and don't have Paypal account (normally cause Paypal don't support Egypt), i could only use my credit card to pay online, see it's complicated :), any ideas.

I am currently not in the US and not using an ip or a us address and I was able to open a hostgator account, I don't see why they wouldn't approve you, that's kinda weird. And also if you use your egyptian address they should give you the adwords voucher!

ethanmitchel sure man i could easily get an account with my Egyptian info, but they only provide the vouchers just for people inside the US or Canada.

there is no such thing as a proxy not listed anwhere
as you now no nix. every proxy on the net is listed in
1 way or another , like the 5 you posted in the proxy
section today claiming you found them and no1 else
has them, but a quick Google search showed they
had been listed since 2010

NIXMY Semi-private proxies that was not listed in google at the time I posted

now you did post these today claiming they existed nowhere on Google in essence
saying until you posted them - only you had them in a database .
in fact none of them where new, and you didn't find them b4 anyone else
they had been around since 2010. don't claim something a quick search on
Google will prove wrong, and don't take credit for something you didn't find
first.

Basically yes, of course you can't know that easily is it a proxy or VPN but there is an easy way to determine is IP originating from data center. Even if IP-address is originating from a hosting provider, it does not necessarily mean there is a malicious user behind this IP.

However for obvious reasons VPN's are hosted in data centers and I've witnessed various fraudulent payments using a stolen credit card or a stolen paypal account. Over 90% from these purchases originated from data center ranges which usually host nothing but bots, proxies and VPN's.

NIXMY thanks man for tying to help, but when i traced the proxy you PMed me with domainTZ tool, it turns out that it's not a US IP it's from Bahamas and it belongs to some hosting company called Secure Hosting, so obviously it won't work.

proxygo man what you have in mind, any helping idea

biggenius could you PM me with the details please, thanks.

You don't need to go through all that hassle to get an adwords voucher, just sign up with your real IP and wait out until someone gives away vouchers. You can also buy one from someone here on BHW or DP if you like, get yourself a Skrill account and pay through that, like a dollar or something.

Are you kidding me? The proxy I gave is verizon.net proxy located in USA. It's a legit proxy, I don't bother with other type of proxies. Please use a more accurate whois or domain service.

NIXMY really sorry man, just checked again, the proxy you PMed my is great, it's verizon located in Florida USA, really thanks, i owe you one, just have a couple of questions for you, i know they might seems dumb, but i'm a total beginner.
the proxy seems not to open HTTPS URLs since i can't access the hosgator cpanel page and other HTTPS page, how to solve that?
how can i buy private one of those proxies, and how to tell that the proxy is private or not.
how long this proxy would last, as well the one i could buy, thanks.

again you did me a great favor, i appreciate it.

The proxy I PM'd was SSL enabled at that time but I don't remember anymore which proxy I gave. None can say beforehand how long the proxy will work. Usually several weeks but you never now...

Just in case try with this one, another residential proxy and SSL (HTTPS) enabled.

NIXMY i don't know but the second proxy don't open the HTTPS cpanel as well, and i get an error telling me that the server is not responding, after opening the cpanle with HMA VPN, and opening the Google adwords code page, i got this error "Error: Offer only available in the United States and Canada. If you believe you are eligible and can prove possession of a physical address in either nation, please send a scanned copy of government-issued ID to some email." WTF, i talked to hostgator people, and the tolled me that they offer the code, but Google do the checking and they figured out that i'm using a proxy, so basically i came back to the first line, i can't get the job done.

I just verified various SSL enabled sites including hostgator SSL signup page, the proxy works good everywhere. I know cpanel use a custom port, it could be this proxy does not allow you to connect to a custom port.

Well I assume you know how to use SOCKS proxy? Try with the SOCKS proxy below. SOCKS proxies are usually better when you need to access sites on custom ports. Hopefully now :) Remember to use Firefox as your browser, it's the most proxy friendly browser and it does support non-standard SOCKS.

not just an ip address that you will need to bypass hostgator. They review just about every order. So if you use an say from Houston TX and the card is say from Dallas TX They will try to call you on the phone number you listed. they also will do address search as well as revers address searches to try and verify an account to make sure that its now a fraud.

almost a year later since i started this thread, still facing the same problem, this time i hope NIXMY would be as generous as always, and provide me with one of his perfect proxies.

*its's just me guys Michael404, but i lost my previous account cause I've been offline a lot lately, so i had to make this new one Michael405.
