I'm looking to drive a little bit more traffic to a specific site, but the catch is that I need the users to perform a search (it's a travel search site). So, 10,000 visits from bots, etc won't work. I found a post on Fiverr that claims to send 1,000 "100% real US visitors" for $5 from sources like expired domain, popups, etc. He has 4.5 stars from 500+ orders and the account is 2+ years old so it seems well received. His screenname is"proheaders" and he only has 2 gigs. If I get 3% of the visitors to perform a search (don't need to purchase anything) then it will be net-positive ROI for me.

I think for $5 I'll test it out and see for myself ... I've never bought traffic before so I'm wondering if you guys thought it's "too good to be true" that I could get 1,000 REAL legit US visitors for $5 and expect 30 of them to perform a search.

And, if there's a place to get travel-specific traffic from domain redirects or anything else, I'm all ears!

I think that on Fiverr people selling visits are doing it in 2 different ways:

    1) they send 100% fake traffic with bots generating Google, Yahoo, Facebook referrels
    2) they are buying visits from networks and reselling them on Fiverr (there are a lot of methods here)

So, in light of this, my advice is to avoid buying hits on Fiverr.
Instead, try to do follow/unfollow on twitter in your niche and to share your link. In this way you can try to get real traffic.

Thanks for the help - can you explain how this is done? This is the travel niche, so it could go many ways (flights, cars, hotels, cruises, etc.)

At that price, the traffic won't perform any action/convert. But $5 it isn't going to break the bank to test.
arganrecords suggested Twitter, maybe buying some sponsored tweets from a travel account or look for Travel related Facebook Groups/Pages and see if you can place a link.

This can help you with Twitter.

    Code:
    http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackhat-seo/making-money/604663-my-twitter-method-instantly-get-instant-volume-traffic-conversions.html
Now follow me with the Google Plus method that I'm using to drive a lot of traffic.
    1) Create a Google Plus account (if you've aged it's better but it isn't mandatory)
    2) After that setup your profile and make it legit with your URL (verify your site and link it to Google)
    3) Go in the search form and type #keyword (in your case go for #travel or other similar and relevant in your niche).
    4) Now like and follow all the users/posts that are related (in the #travel I suppose there are only travel posts and niche related to your site).
    That's it.

With this method I get 40% of follow back and 15% is going to see my link on my profile (not bad and it's all real traffic).
You can also automate all but you need iMacros script that you can find here on BHW

I do not know if anyone has done but at least you know what to look for ;)

Note: don't make more than 150 Likes/follows every 5/6 hours (you cna be flagged as spammer).

Tested some traffic from fiverr and they all say "REAL TRAFFIC NO BOTS " .... my ass -.-, They are all bots. So if you actually need some action done, you could still try it out since that seller seems to have some orders and such but dont get high hopes :p

Wow - awesome plan! I love it and will definitely do it!

Can this be done with FB too?

And, are there any SEO ramifications, positive or negative?
