Real Sim Cards - how to use?

Hey Guys,

I know this topic is discussed a lot and I finally gave it a shot and bought real SIM cards. I live in the **USA** and bought the Three Network SIM cards below:

Additionally, I purchased this unlocked phone off of ebay "BlackBerry-Bold-9650-Black-Smartphone-Unlocked-GSM-any-Standard-Size-SIM-Card." A link to this phone is here: http://www.ebay.com/itm/252730781541

Now, the issue is, I can't get the SIM to work. I put it in the unlocked phone and it won't receive any text messages. Even when I text the phone it doesn't work. Does anyone have any idea why this issue my persist?

have you activated it or something?

most of the simcard needs to be activated in order
for you to start using the services. Check the packaging
for instructions and if still not working, go back to the store
and ask them how or ask for replacement maybe the
simcards are defectives.

Along with activations, sim cards usually need to have international roaming enabled. Since you're in the US and trying to activate a EU card, roaming might be a limiting factor.

I bought The exact same sim card as you (bought 100) and I have the same problem! I'm from the UK so I will contact them or go into there store directly. I found their activation page but could get it to work in my unlocked nexus 5. I'm still trying to figure this out.

I use USmobile for my sim needs. Ordered theres, received them. Went on there website and activated each individual sim(which they make a very simple process). Costs 4$ a month for 100 texts. Only need to pay for the months you use the sim. So you can let the month of text run out when you dont need the number, then pay 4$ again when you need to do a phone verification. Pretty simple and not to expensive. Works extremely well, havent had any issues. Just need to make sure to remember which sim is connected to which number!

I think i know A better way to Verify any website PVA. All USA geo numbers.

I test it for twitter, Craigslist, Gmail. Google voice . E-bay etc
It worked best for Verification by call no SMS verification.

When you reactivate sim text service, do you keep the same number? Do you keep the same number if the sim text service is inactive for several months at a time? Are you able to choose a local us numbers by area code?

Do you not need to be in the UK to receive the messages from a UK number?? lol
 
U live in USA but the pic has a pound next to the ten instead of $..another bhw bust??

I also use USMobile and was wondering about this as well for several accounts. Do you have to set the account to manually adding text for a month option (which is $2 each month)? I thought it would then always recur monthly (the base fee, which you have to pay no matter what, and the add-on)?
 
what about the app on your phone called hushed that lets you get numbers and txt messages? its like 4.99 and you can get unlimited numbers? Any1 ever try this?
 
If you don't know what you're doing, you're simply gonna get busted cuz the phone has a unique ID on it and all apps can read that ID, so even if you keep changing SIMs most apps will know it's the same phone.

Wait what?.. . .Now I'm just confused.
So the many who swear by using bulk sims, how do they do it?

I guess rooting the phone and using some app to change details can cover that right?

I'm planning on buying some end of month, so just want to make sure I do it right.

Your assumption here is purely if you include an app, so if you were to actually download Instagram to the phone. This is NOT the same as using multiple SIM cards to receive confirmation text messages for multiple accounts. The SIM card carrier may notice that 20 of their cards are being used on the same phone but the carrier would have to share that information with IG. As long as your carrier company is not owned by Facebook (none is), you should be fine.

he's only right if your using the phones instagram app. if you just using for sms verification your fine. just use like massplanner API to enter t he code.

go to network selection change it to manual.

exactly that is calle CCID
 
Each sim can be used 5 times .

Means 5 accounts.

The sims i get are £25 for 100 but all pre activated , free incoming text.
