If you gather a backlink but it is a nofollow will it show up on yahoo site explorer.

The reason I ask is I did a whole bunch of backlinking and someone told me that the site was all nofollow. I can now see the links showing up on my yahoo site explorer, does this mean they were actually do follow?

    Thank you for your time.

Someone correct me if I am wrong, but the nofollow value is not meant to block access to content, or to prevent pages from being indexed by SEs. nofollow is used to instruct SEs that a hyperlink should not influence the link ranking. So this means the link will still show up in SE results, but it will not give any value to the site it links too.

    Hope it helps.
