Hey guys,

Right now my website is a PR2 and we have only really been on the web for about 7-8 months. What is RealPageRank?

I used SEOMastering website recommended on here by some users and I found that our site had PR2 and real PR of just over 4.

Does that mean that I could potentially be expecting a bump up to 4 on the next PR update?

PR is useless, I don;t know why people still base the price on PR.
If you don't do any redirects it is real.
 
Regardless the PR, I mainly focus generate traffic from Google.

If a website is PR0, it is okay as long as the site get loads of traffic from Google. :D

Of course, higher PR = better. PR1 is better than PR0. PR2 is better than PR1. :)

No entirely true! If PR1 site ranks better than PR5 it seems that PR1 is better to me.
 
By the way thanks for the site - just tried it and it is very useful for seo analysis.
 
To my mind, PR is an indicator among others indicators. Your rankings is not linked to your PR, but biggest PR websites are generally higher in the SERPs than lowest one.
 
google manages PR internally. The toolbar PR is outdated and just aggregated from a certain date. The only people who know your true PR is Google. that is "real" PR.
 
First, Google has emphasized that nowadays PageRank is only one out of 200 important ranking signals. So the Webmasters should not think of it as the one and only important parameter.

Second, Google has removed the PageRank tab from the Google Webmaster Tools console and they have reduced the number of PageRank Toolbar updates that took place 3 or 4 times per year. Last year they they updated in only twice.

So , as archon10 said, noone outside Google knows what your real PR is at the moment. You can use various SEO tools to check this metric, but all they will show you will be your current PageRank Toolbar numbers.

Not true. there is dozen of SERP results where lower PR sites and pages rank higher than sites with higher PR.
PR doesn't mean much nowadays. Only good backlink profile does.
 
That real pagerank thing is pretty useless. It's not an official tool by Google, and has no idea how Google calculates a site's Pagerank. 9 times out of 10 the so called real pagerank is 1 or 2 points higher than the actual Pagerank of the site.
