I have spent countless hours reading that all link building through buying links could be penalized by Google. Then I have read the opposite side that they wont if they are good enough. I know Google cant always tell which links are natural and which arent.

Some blogs go on and on to say that buying links will one day get your website penalized.

1) buying quality links. Is it safe?

2) have you ever been penalized for buying links?

3) I have used seo services from here for years and stayed high in rankings without ever getting penalized.

Is this all just a scare tactic from people that dont believe in the short cut of link buying?

I need some veteran feedback on this debate.

Go for links are are not easy to get and you will be fine. If you get the type of links that everyone else is getting on spammed domains, then you will be penalized.

I remember when I was a young, 30 something guy, back in 2010s when there was this thing called Google, that was used to search things of interest on a world wide web called "Internet". So, if you search for, lets say, "How to make monkeys" you would usually click first couple of results that would lead you further to these creations called Web SItes where you would read about the topic of your interest. Now, if you wanted to be in these top results on Google that would allow you to earn tokens which were called "money" back in the days, the more visitors you are getting to your Web Sites the more "money" you would be able to collect via clickz on small images called "Ads".

The ways of getting in top of search results on Google included, among other things, creating "links" to your Web Site, which were signals for Google. The more good signals you had the better was your ranking. If you had low amount of "links" or if you had bad "links" you would fall out of favor with Google.

I remember that strongest and most badass "links" were "home page" links on Web Sites that talked about random topics or topics having a resemblance in appearance to your site. The more of these "home page links" the higher your Web Site would go. So, all we had to do to earn tokens was to find a way to create links that would appear natural to Google. Google loved when things look natural. There were some other things to pay attention as well, if you wanted to move your Web Site up in rankings, but my brain cannot process so much data now, have in mind that was 178 years ago, I am not young anymore, my grey cells are dying off.

Most of the people built the website to make money from it. So, if they do not get backlinks for their site, rankings will be like a nightmare to them, because it takes much time to rank keywords without backlinks imo.

The main thing is how much you know about backlinks and factors associated with rankings and websites.

People tend to get high quantity backlinks over quality so your website will be on the suspect. Try to built links meets authority, relevancy and trust factors. If you know how to do it, then there is no problem with getting backlinks for your websites. Good luck.
