I've been testing things around with botting on real devices and on emulators (googles avd and memu)

Wanna start a discussion here for us to share our experience on pros and cons of both approaches. Obviously, real devices are more expensive to run but so far I can report a more stable workflow with them. As for the emulator, it seems to me that the proxy quality is the most important factor. Also seems like mobile proxy is the way to go

You can emulate real devices. If the question is only about Instagram, you can use browser automation, where you can change browser footprints (not only user-aget! WebRTC, Canvas, timzone, CPU, etc)/proxy.

You do not need real devices for good work.

nah, working through a browser sucks in my experience. You can see that for yourself after you compare the performance of an account running on a RD, emulated an a browser one.
 
Use the mobile api, the best way and very cost effective
 
I think you people got me wrong. I am not here begging for unreasonable suggestions on how to bot on Instagram. I wanted to start a discussion not to show off the balls around but to be a little bit more particular and share the real experiences.

For example, botting with real devices I can easily do 600+ follows per account per day while botting with HTTP proxies and AVD emulator I was able to reach only about 60 follows per day.

I thought you wanted to start. Yes, phones can be good but scaling is trash and doesn t worth the efforts
 
Emulators should only be considered for scrapers, in my opinion. Even if you do all you can to emulate a real device, the quality is not the same.

An easy method to confirm that, for anyone interested, is to create some accounts with real devices and some with emulators. Then start running them on the same settings while using the same bot. The difference is enormous. Yes, scaling is hard on real devices but it's better to have fewer accounts that run with virtually no issues than tons that require hours of your time daily to fix the blocks you're getting.

thnx bro, I am playing with that for about a year already. Have you did any tests yourself? I would even add that u can use adb to automate emulated devices
 
Real devices. Only solution to bypass safetynet

how do you use Insomniac on multiple accounts on one phone and also more phones?

inso offers you the functionality to switch between accounts. Currently, I am running it over the internet. I have set up VPN to forward the 5555 port into the local network of my controlling server

do you recommend using real devices like Iphones or Android devices? Also you can set up your own 4g proxy..

Use real device and for the proxy just buy a 3g or 4g package on your sim. Every time you will get a new proxy when you turn off your data and then turn it on

what kind of emulator u are using? What kind of proxies u run with emulator? What kind of a bot?

I tried google avd too even with HTTP proxies i could still have some accounts running though I agree that real devices give much more effectiveness per account don't you think it might still be a good idea to use emulators since that way you can obviously easier increase the amount of managed accounts while keeping the actions per account lower not to trigger the antifraud.

Have u tried memu or bluestacks?
Have you tried warming up your accounts on emulators aka "building cookies" surfing insta without any likes or actions, just building some trust?
