So, it seems the IRS might start "spying" on the crypto ttransactions,, so if that becomes a reality, I don't think it's crazy to think that eventually, the govs will make it that every time you make a transaction of blockchain that you must pay your taxes on it.

Gas fees + taxes = broke crypto guys lol

tornado cash
wasabi

don't leak your wallet to the government?
if you are using CEX and especially verified with your real identity you are borderline retarded and asking to get fucked

What do you mean "start spying"? Start spying even more?:)

Crypto crowd (#notall) will get what they deserve. They turned crypto into just another hype driven gambling operation and forgot that crypto was supposed to challenge state power, not further strengthen it. I have seen the writing on the wall as soon as they made it harder to buy crypto anonymously, that was a "sign" how things are going to play out, not that it was hard to predict. Some thought governments will just roll over and let go of their fiscal power. Power more important than military. Well that was naïve as f*ck.

Just to be clear, you still can purchase it without KYC, it is just annoying, costs more or takes longer to make a larger purchase.

Yeah I agree man. I can't forget the days where localbitcoins, paful and others weren't such cowards and go 100% kyc on any transaction, man.

I miss those days, when you could buy $1k btc on localbitcoins without any need of providing IDs or anything. Idk if localmonero is still kycless but still you can always do P2P trades without the need of IDs. :)

I think doing everything anonymously is still possible. I wouldnt know how to cover all the angles, but im sure its possible.

Its just there are so many ways to leave a trace.

Like i could send you some BTC from my KYC exchange account to your private wallet address and the system wants to know who is the owner of that address. So they break down the door of the exchange owner and put a gun in his mouth and force him to tell them who is i am. Then they break down my door and put a gun in my mouth and force me to tell them who you are (you the person to who i sent this BTC).

Now maybe you were smart enough to use all fake info when talking to me and a fake/burner email or whatever, so its a dead end for them.

So the system goes to gmail/yahoo/hotmail and break down their door and put a gun in their mouth and force them to tell them who is the owner of this email address and the IP address the account was accessed from. But of course youre mister genius so the email had fake info on it and you used a VPN or a proxy to access it.

So the system finds the provider of this IP address and breaks down their door and puts a gun in their mouth and forces them to give them the info of the person using this IP address. But of course you regustered for the VPN with fake info. But the system also gets the IP address of the user of the VPN.

Now maybe you used TOR, but maybe theyve cracked TOR long ago and they got all them exit and enter nodes under control and can break all the encryption in 2 seconds. Maybe not. But do you wanna take a chance?

Or maybe you used some internet cafe or random internet somewhere, and you wore a hat and a mask so no cameras can recognize you. And of course you came to the spot where you used the internet and left it in a way where the system cant follow you from one camera to the other all the way to your home.

Bravo, you got away with it, this time, maybe.

But wait, youre gonna need to send/spend them Bitcoins at some point, will you not? Well then youre gonna have to dance with the system again...

Trade BTC for Monero and then back to BTC or some other crypto? Who's to say Monero isnt created and owned or totally cracked by the system in some form or fashion? But you do it anyway, for good measure.

Now what, maybe you send the crypto to some exchange which allows you to get a debit card. You do the KYC using fake docs or something. Now you go to the ATM and take out cash. Wearing a mask and hat of course. Be weary of cameras all the way to the ATM and back.

Or maybe you do a P2P trade (no KYC) and trade your BTC into fiat, and receive your fiat in some payment platform stealth account. You have a visa/mastercard for your stealth account. Now again you hit an ATM somewhere, you get the cash and poof, you disappear.

All things considered, its a massive headache to be 110% totally anonymous and system-proof. And it only takes 1 mistake for them to get to you.

Sucks :p

I will be so surprised if this isn't implemented in the next couple of years
