Re Targeted Leads from my site

Would it be wise to retarget leads that visit my affiliate page or should this only be done if you own the product as you do not have to do a split with commissions?

Just wondering if any affiliate out there does the retarget and seen good results...

If so, who did you hire to run your retarget program?
