Hi,

I want to know, if content is removed from a website and it is reposted to a completely new website, with some minor tweaks and updates to anything that might be outdated. Would this be okay? or will google deem it duplicate? Does anyone have experience with this.

In this specific instance, the content will have been removed from the original site for longer than 6 months. The pages on the original site now have completely different content or have been deleted entirely. So, theoretically, google has returned to those pages, crawled them and not seen the content that was previously there. Do they keep a historical archive of older versions of the web page to check against plagiarism?

fyi; a 301 redirect is not optional for this. No access to original website.
