Re-Opening Marketplace Threads

    A common question we receive is whether or not we can re-open a marketplace thread. The answer to that is it depends.

    Before contacting us asking if we can re-open your thread, ask yourself the following questions:
    1. How long has your marketplace thread been closed? If your marketplace thread has been closed longer than the 7-day grace period, we cannot re-open your thread, meaning you'll have to resubmit your marketplace thread and go through the review process again.
    2. Did you recently renew your Jr. VIP membership within the 7-day grace period? If so, your thread should automatically reopen in 24 hours.
    If there's an issue with your marketplace thread not re-opening, send a private message to @Apricot, @Diamond Damien, or @nuf-ced as regular moderators and marketplace moderators cannot re-open a thread once it's been closed.

    It means that if more than 7 days passed, the reviews will be gone as a new thread is to be opened.

    Some sellers just quote the reviews from their old thread.

    Is there any policy in regard to how often marketplace sellers MUST update their product/service reviews?

    Yes, any time there's a change to pricing, package details, refund policies, or contact details; a seller is required to update their thread. Most of these aren't really a big deal (e.g., we go based on the refund policy in the thread rather than on a seller's website, so they're shooting themselves in the foot by not updating it), but pricing is the main one we want to be consistent.

    That sounds amazing and as it should but i was referring more to the fact that i see BST opened from 2+ years ago with screenshots of feedbacks and reviews from that time as well, and even from users that are not even active anymore in the community.

    I know this has been discussed in the past here, finding ways to make the marketplace more secure and transparent for all parties involved and the 2 main topics i remember were stablishing an escrow and a verified customer review only system.

    I am not trying to start another discussion on these topics just referring to the fact marketplace sellers should also update their feedback and reviews for their services.
