Are you talking about a PBN redirect?
If so make sure that the PBN whois matches your site for best results I found.
I would also rarely ever use these if you can avoid it.
They work, I just think you can use these sites better than just a redirect.
Then instead of 301 use a 302, 302's have been shown to hold higher rankings
for a longer time than 301. Where they eventually drop off.
