I personally didn't really like his jokes etc, not that I hate him, but I don't find his videos quality, all the videos can be watched on break.com days earlier or so.
But the guy did achieve a lot and that's something he should be proud of, built a name, music, directed a movie and more, I'm sure he'll have a lot of success in the future.
Love him or hate him, the fact is that this guy was a round changing person on youtube, thousands of youtubers we are watching nowadays find an inspiration after watching him, he's on youtube for 5 years and all his videos have above 3-4 million views, that's a HUGE success. I have watched him in the past when he really was a funny and when he started making videos because he had some good ideas, but later after he kept doing it just because of the income, the show got shitted, but the fact that he is one of the people who changed the youtube stays.

I personally didn't like his videos, making "reviews" of viral videos isn't something I enjoy. In 5 years he has made enough to last his entire life and that's pretty awesome. It's good that he's stepping down so that someone else may take his place.

If you watch the entire video, he mentions that he will be hiring a host for his show within a month or so and if it works, he will continue the show further.
And he ain't quitting his Youtube channel completely either, he just plans to retire from his particular show 'Equals three' since he has got a lot of plans for his future like acting, live shows and a lot other stuff.
