I've done my share of researching. It seems offline website selling has a good deal of potential for short-term bank. In the past, cold calling got me a client. $100 for a site I made in a day. According to a related thread, creating and presenting the website for a company/business was very successful for him. He charged what an average developer would.

His medium of contact was email. Mine was a combination of cold calling and walk-ins.

I'm a lil impatient and more of a go getter. I'd prefer to get responses asap. Meeting in person or phone is more personal.

Still, I have yet to go the email route.

    In a nutshell:

I was gonna charge anywhere from $200-500, depends if I think they have the moolah.

From here: I'm debating if I wanna sell a finished product or offer my services to a reliable client before I jump the gun.

Now for the ole blackhat twist.
I would falsely present myself as a rep from a trusted company. (google, yahoo, templatemonster, godaddy, yelp, etc)

Offering a ridiculous deal to local businesses (or something ) for a limited time only. I only need to make 1-2k and that's it. I have another source of income I'm waiting on.

How does that sound? How would you improve it?

Hey. I have had a bit of experience for that.

    1. First of all I scrape old websites looking for emails with my personal scraper (or scrapebox). I'm really not giving a flying duck about what these website are about, I spam them with a quick, authority builder email and a link to my portfolio. Yes, you have to buy a portfolio.
Schedule your spam in maybe 10-20 emails a days every day (offline niche)

1.b If in your country is legal, you can also scrape telephone number from older websites (most of time you can just do a whois scrape) and send an sms campaign

    2. If you really want to go in person, simply print a beautiful portfolio of website you have build (or some else lol) and take with you business. No need to be someone else. Also, offering basic local SEO services.

Ask no less for 600$ a website.

    The selling process:
    Smile
    Explain who you are
Explain why the potential customer needs a website for his business
Don't overuse the 'we' statement -> we do website, we do this, we do that... but use the you statment: you can benefit from a website with more sell.. bla bla bla.

    TL;DR:
Build a credible portfolio (you don't need clients for do that), send mail 'campaigns', go in the field and show a printed version of the portfolio. Offer also webdesign services.

This method is as old since the dawn of the internet's creation. And this thread would be more suited in the OFFLINE marketing section.

    @Spambotking

Thanks. You provided me with some very useful information to consider when I begin Monday.

I'm curious though as to what business you would target if you were to go in person locally?
Where would you find these clients? Just anyone? Previously I would just barge into any old business and ask to speak with the owner, if possible.

    Glad I helped mate.

I will targrt only business who alderady market his services. In my country, there is a newspaper where business owner can put spam. I will go with these first (who do marketing know the impprtance of marketing).
Go with business where a website can be a gamechanger. But before, just praticize your skills offering at all business an online precence (google local, gmb yelp) and online reputation managment.
Also check a wordpress framework like genesis for accelerate the development.

    Tl:dr:
Go offering Online Presence first, when you will become more confident go with website/ecommerce

I am also thinking of International cold-calling to land some web-development customers everyday @ $200/website. Do you think that it will work ?

You could easily save time by mixing processes and job entailment to easily manage everything.

Try writing daily scripts or procedures on a Calender with sharpie markers detailing what has to get done in that specified time frame.
