Hello BHW,

What do you guys think of my idea for a blog:

I'll create a blog in my own language, where I'll be teaching people how to handle money smartly, how to save, how to make money (online) etc. since there isn't a lot of information in the language in our country. Is this a good idea? I'll monetize with AdSense.

Do a forum instead of a blog.. When somebody posts a thread for help, help them. Way more traffic..
 
why monetize with adsense? consider selling premium content/training.
what's your plan for traffic generation?

That's also a good suggestion, but it kinda makes me feel bad selling info which is already public..

I'm thinking of driving traffic through forum postings, Facebook and possibly Reddit. No SEO in the beginning.
 
Isn't the whole affiliate marketing contain content which Adsense doesn't approve?
 
Seriously money niche is very saturated.
You should plan how you're going to outbid already established websites, e.g. what you can offer of which they don't already have.
I wish you good luck but now your idea sounds very broad and naive.

Possibly true, but remember my website will be in Dutch. The amount of money making sites in our language is 1/100th of the amount there are in English.
 
Making money might be saturated, but saving money always grabs attention. It requires a lot of work and knowledge though.
