RapidShare Problems???

Anybody else experiencing problems with RapidShare???

I a getting a 5, 6, 7, 8 character captcha but the input box will only allow 4 characters and therefore does not recognized the code.

I put in an email to support.

Maybe they need a few more emails.

Put only character with the cat in background.

Their new captcha sucks, one of the worst ever implemented!!!

only the characters with the cats in them are what you type in

Captcha offers up to eight characters ALL with cats. After randomly trying different characters from what is offered you get, "Too many wrong password attempts" and you now must wait and retry later.

I too have emailed support asking for a solution other than upgrading to premium. (No reply after 24 hours).
If that is what they want then remove the 'Free' option.

I have a ton of downloads backed up. Much prefer Megaupload!

I have seen several 5, 6, 7 and 8 character captchas, but not one with all cats.

The dogs kinda look like cats, so it's tough to discern the difference. But if you look close, you can see it. The cats have slightly fatter bellies.

Choose only characters without dogs.

It took me a while to discover some cats aren't really cats.

Now it works fine, just I have to carefully watch for cats and dogs.

If I stand on one leg in a bucket of custard, squint through the hole in my underpants while the Sun is on the cusp of Aries and Taurus I can make out that some indeed are dogs not cats.

Even though I have a 30 inch (76 cm) monitor it is still difficult to make out. Rapidshare captcha sucks...but at last I'm getting the downloads.

same problem here, when i saw 6 characters all with cats, and was told to only enter 4, i was like "...are you fucking kidding me?! ROFL"

Use this Trick :

1. The CAT is more bigger than DOG
2. The CAT have whisker more long

I use Nitro Web Accelerator and use Extremely High in Image Option.

But I can read it well.

It' those bloody cat images....

I just pay the $9 pounds what ever and never have a problem...

Kindly note that even though there now are more than 4 letters and numbers in one captcha you still only have to type 4 letters and numbers in the box. Every captcha letter/number is with animal picture and you only have to use the 4 letters/numbers with the cats.

The sitting animal is the cat.
The standing animal is the dog.

I don't know what's going on with their system.

I entered the characters that matched the "sitting" cats for 4 out of a total of only 5 animal images, and I was still told that I'd entered the wrong code. There was only a total of 5 characters with animal images! 4 were "sitting" cats and 1 was a "standing" dog!

Even through the process of elimination, how could the 4 characters have been wrong if by principle alone the "sitting animal" images are cats?! There's something wrong with their system or something.

I, predominantly, use Firefox. However, I even switched over to IE to see if that helped...still encountered the same problem...

In my experience, the system is crap. I could never achieve success. I reached a timeout...where I was told to try again after some minutes, for I had to many incorrect entries... Actually, I'd entered correctly. For some reason, it wasn't registering correctly. That's why I switched over to try through IE. I don't like to use IE, but I will, at times, when I encounter problems such as this, eg...

I don't like RapidShare's new system. It may need refining.

I'll upload to another source when I contribute. No one ought to have to go through this to download something, nor ought anyone be made to feel "obligated" to upgrade to a "premium" plan to download a shared file.

I'm getting really fucked off with rapidshare at the moment. I think i can only get on it about 50% of the time, because it won't load. I've had to resort to uploading stuff to my own space.

I say we boycott rapidshare. Stick with sharearound or mediafire whenever possible.

You only get four because only four are valid. The only four valid are the cats and I can spot it but I agree with EC RS must change its captcha system or slowly people will convert against it. People everywhere are crying lol
