Rapid and Free system to make a link reach a large crowd?

Is there any way in which I can make a link reach rapidly a crowd of roughly 10 thousand people (DOESN'T MATTER IF TARGETED OR NOT) without spending any money?

Make a facebook page. Find and add 10 people that have 1000 or more friends. Make a wall post with your link on each of those 10 friends profile pages and the link should show up on the newsfeed pages for all 10000 of their friends.

Or along the same lines you could search groups to find pages that have over 10000 fans and post on the fan page wall. Think celebrity fan pages, tv show fan pages, musicians, bands, politicians, etc. They usually not only have a lot of fans, but huge amounts of those fans are visiting that page often.
