Ok first off, i know ranting on a thread is not going to solve this issue but, i really used to love coming and finding gold and gems here at BHW. but after a few months of living off my day job (web designer, self employed IM'er) i feel that BHW has slipped into a "get rich quick post site".
Has IM really slowed down that much? NO
So Why is most posts i encounter recycled garbage threads about earning xxx doing little work?
Isnt IM, BH, PPC, WH etc All about using ur brain, researching and applying your efforts to unlock new and potentially untapped markets?
Most posts i read are the equivalent to me saying "register PS5CHEAP.com, wait for 20 years, and earn $$$ on auto pilot".....
I know Admins and the others work hard to stop BHW going into meltdown but I cant help but think the relevance, and quality has somewhat slumped.

What really pisses me off is the "what's your SEO strategy?" posts like the 3 or 4 I just saw on the recent thread list. And the ones asking "Does ___ software work?" Especially those about Scrapebox, AMR, etc. It's like, "I don't know, does your brain work?"

So let me get this straight... your saying all I have to do is register PS5CHEAP.com and wait a few years and I will get lots of money  better register the name before the method gets saturated.

The only way to combat the flood of useless methods is to post some decent ones. But no one is going to just give a way their golden nest egg. There are still some useful posts you just gotta look for them.

Cheers!

Narrator - I am 100% with you on that, but wouldn't it be nice if we didn't have to sieve "bat guano" to find the gems?
AKA - don't post unless its worth the time typing it..
And sure the minute i give away a money earner im accepting 100s+ competitors, but id rather strategies be shared rather than A.B.C Methods that are wasting everyone's time..

Don't think there's any way round that, can't have ppl bring scared to post in case it's not good enough. I think there are still slot of gems cone up here, you just gotta look for them!

DUDE - my honest view is in the last 3 months there has been a massive influx of NOOBS onto this site.not people interested in turning IM into a career but more like people who need money to pay bills,so suddenly there are shitloads of threads asking "HOW DO I START IN IM" + "WHATS THE BEST METHOD" - no one here spoon feeds and its getting messed up that you see it here everyday. They don't want to work for the knowledge - they just want to be treated like babies when i came here 1 year ago.no one told me jack.thats my view

There are members of BHW who are at different levels of competence. Some are very advanced, some are intermediate, and some are just beginning their journey into the world of internet marketing. With that in mind, it is only to be expected that you will see redundant questions and topics being posted.

There is a constant influx of people joining BHW who are just starting out, and as boring as it may seem to the more advanced internet marketers, we simply have to exercise some patience and tolerate these redundant posts. BHW is not designed for the elite only.

Remember your roots and glean what knowledge you can from BHW.

Regardless of what some may deem as "shortcomings", we are still the best damned internet marketing forum on the planet.

This one is in the lounge ranting... dont try intimidate me cos ur status.....
by that comment fun4uoc are you saying you disagree? cos daft replies like that are a lil too much "sat on the fence" no??

We are in a global recession, and people are looking for ways to make money without a job. Thus the recent influx of noobs. That is how I found IM, I was about to lose my job due to the economy and found IM as a result.

And the law of averages that there are more stupid people out there than not, means that we will have a majority of stupid noobs.

The truth as we all know is when you are desperate.you will do anything and if someone hangs a golden carrot in front of you - you will try and eat it.right now people are very desperate the job market is going down.so they are looking for alternatives.

even if we don't help their are alot of great people on here who take time everyday to answer the most arb and boring questions. Respect to those people.

Plus IM is a test ,if someone comes on here and busts their balls willing to make it.they do deserve to succeed.I guess we all start as noobs.you have to begin somewhere

what do you call a member that posts a redundant thread about poor post quality from a member who's only contributed a little over 100 'quality' posts in about three year period?

some people might call that a member who's only motivation for logging on would be to leech and milk other people's method's and ideas without making any significant contribution of their own.

change starts with you...if you want better quality posts start writing quality posts....stop waiting for people inspire you and start inspiring others instead.

I find lots of useful posts here.

And even though i've been doing this a long time I still don't hesitate to ask noob questions, because I know most BHWers are willing to help.

I like the forum, even with the noob posts.

My only fear is that it could turn into Warriorforum. Have you checked warriorforum lately? The front page of general discussion is the worst bunch of crap threads i've ever seen. And if you ever ask a decent question about SEO/marketing, no one knows the answer. Like they're all dumbfounded that someone asked a sensible non-noob question.

I seriously hate that place. BHW is on another planet compared to WF, that's all we have to stay away from and BHW will always be fine.

I've only ever had one problem in BHW and that was when a weird character started stalking me here and became quite obsessed with my posts. Fortunately he was dealt with and nearly permbanned, so i'm very happy with BHW as a whole.

Yeah we all have to start somewhere, but post building comments get under my skin, such as "thanks for that" or " I will try it" I thought they were being deleted by Mods, we had a load of new Mods a while ago to stamp it out.

Remember we were all there once (in fact I am there now:) ), you join a forum like this and you are looking to make money (I know I am) it's natural to want to dive in and start earning - so I think you gotta have time for us noobs.

- and As tonlilaz said, you gotta make the quality of this forum - especially if your grouping yourself with the elite on here - who else is gonna hold up the quality!!!

i think your totally wrong i learn something new on here almost every day and im grateful this forum is here....

sorry if things are not up to your standard!

everyone starts somewhere dont ever assume your better than anyone else thats one of the worst mistakes you can make in life ;)

I agree. If we see that someone is making a habit of posting short, meaningless comments, we warn them, and if it continues, we take more extreme measures. We also encourage members to report it when they see someone who is constantly doing that. We can't catch all of them, but we do the best we can, and of course, help from the members is always appreciated.
