[Rant] Sh*t, I've never been as pissed as this before

[Rant]

Alright, as some of you know a fellow BHW member recommended a book entitled: "Outwitting The Devil" by Napoleon Hill.
So I went to the library to borrow it and as I was taking the escalator down, the book slipped off from my hands (as I was also carrying my laptop) and fell from the 3rd storey all the way to the 1st storey. I immediately ran down to find it and realize it was gone.

A woman nearby told me an old man took the book and ran off. FUCK! I can't believe such fuckers still exist in our society.
I seriously hope he dies from viagra-overdose and his whole generation married to fat chicks/dudes.

Seriously.

I am not over-reacting... I just take integrity and honesty very seriously in people. FUCK! I seriously hope he gets raped by a fat chick or something.

Mate you got it from a library, you didn't even own it. Relax and stop wishing hate.
 
Alright-alright... maybe cursing someone with illness is really too extreme. I apologized for that and edited my post.

But of course I'm still pissed. Cos' I will still have to pay the replacement fee (as stated in their rules) and it will affect my library record (although I don't really mind about this). Still, what really irks me is... IT IS JUST A BOOK!! Why would someone just steal it and run off. Damn...

Argh.. sunken cost then.

You didn't deserved to read that great book in the first place!!! Why? You cursed an old man needlessly instead of thinking calmly what Napolean Hill would have done in such a case! hehehe

Jokes apart, you have reacted very unfairly. Think that it was a testing moment for you before the "Doors" would open for you! That's real outwitting the devil for you! THAT devil IS actually present in every mind... never too far from you and actually working God's bigger scheme for your soul's purification and upliftment.

Pray (for that old man and his future generations, and nah, they won't become lepers just because you intend them to be), and pay (for the book)... then... rejoice that the devil tested you and you actually passed and overcame the evil you carried out, and learned that when the temptation would come again you'd be really ready!

That's Napolean Hill's teachings in a nutshell!

Buy a copy from Amazon... it's a small price for the great lesson life just taught you! believe me, God would be really happy for you because you gave the library a new copy, you also gave the old man a great book, and you also made the kind soul of Napolean Hill very very happy by praying and paying! :)

If you've never been this pissed before, and it was something like that that's made you this pissed off, you live a relatively stress free life. Congrats to you sir.
 
Pure comedy! Who runs off with a book? And, who goes nuts for a book? They should make a movie after this. If you are doing like this for a book, I wouldn't want to be the guy that steals your car.
 
Dafuq? You can't read that book with such a mentality. It wasn't for you this time.

Maybe the old guy will read the book, take action , change his life and make it big !......Also theres also the possibility he likes getting raped by fat chicks.. go old guy
 
Hahaha, funny event. Maybe you can track him down. Usually this people are not at first "mistake". Maybe that old man have drinking issues... just a thought.

Oh come' on, I don't live a "stress-free life".
Just that, this incident really happened at the wrong time after a loooong day and lots of shit happened recently (Penguin Hit, .etc).

Ha! But now to think of it.. I find the whole incident kinda funny.. lol.
Oh well, scraper1 and srb8888... well said.

Wish him all the best and I take back my "before-insults" and wish that he will make full use of the book.

I just can't believe that I need to go to the library and tell the counter:
Me: "Hi, I would like to report a book I just lost."
Librarian: "When it happened?"
Me: "Right after I borrowed it. An old man took my book and ran away."
