So my domain has been around for about a year and a half, it's for my social media growth agency.

Today I suddenly looked it up and on keywords it used to rank 4th/5th I literally can't find it anymore, even on the next few pages it's not there.

Was alerted to this when SEMrush notified me I'd dropped from 60th to 100+ and 80th to 100+ on two big keywords that I've been attempting to rank for a long time.

Anyone know why this might be?

When I search up the name of my business the home page that ranks 1st seems to have gone too?!

Would appreciate any help!

Log into search console and check what notifications you have. If Google are penalizing you there's going to be a warning in there.

Also it might help to look at these types of sites: hxxps://www.siteguarding.com/en/website-spam-scanner

Looked on search console and no new notifications, and the link you sent didn't turn up anything for spam... I really have no idea what it could be!

Probably still indexing problems. One Of my websites are disappearing regularly for about 12-24hrs and getting back to top10.

I wonder if its a GEO related indexing issue?

You might have been deindexed, but you need to confirm through GSC

Which part of google search console will confirm this and how would I go about getting indexed again? I noticed my contact us page is still appearing in search.

I think OP has tried GSC?

What result do you get in GSC when you try link checker?

Just tried typing it in here and it says it's not indexed because:

'Alternative page with proper canonical tag'

Not quite sure what this means? As far as I'm aware I only have 1 home page

Yeah, this is a pain in the ass, but easily solved.

What CMS are you using - and does this show up on internal pages too?

Wordpress. How do you mean show up on internal pages?

Have you searched internal pages in the link checker?

For WordPress, YOAST gives you a pretty in depth feel for canonical. Its worth understanding so you don't get hit again. I had deindexing issues because of this a while back, and I had to brush up...

Could this have something to do with me buying 2 similar domains that I set to redirect to my main one a couple of months ago?

All depends how canonical are set up, but I don't know on that one

1. Update is rolling out as we speak
2. Check your site in google search like this:

site:yourdomain.com

If your page pops up then you are not penalised.
