Hi guys

I've been using rankmath for a while and its been great, it seems that they automatically updated it yesterday or something and its gone SOUTH! Looks like they are coming with a paid pro one, so I don't know if they messed up things with the new update to force the pro one? I suggest that you turn off auto update for now.
No matter what I do, it seems it does not see much, it keeps telling me that the focus kws is not in the beginning or its not in h2, h3 when in fact is it!

Plus, I just don't get their support system, you can't email them, you have to post a ticket and "stupidly" enough their suport ticket is a public forum for everyone to see! I have NEVER seen anything like it, as amatter of fact, with some posted support tickets you could see the poster domain names and their confidential log in info (if rankmath asks them to send this info to help them solve some issues), so be careful not to post anything you don't want 7 billions people to see, LOL.

How can you trust a SEO tool like this when they have NO IDEA how to imrpove their support system or how to make it private? the first thing you do for your customers as a business, you PROTECT THEM, YOU DON'T EXPLOIT THEM.

At this stage, I'm not so sure what to do, I'm starting to lose confidence in this thing.

Hm, I got a notification that there were some auto-updates, I guess I should check it.

Anyway, it sucks if RM goes like any others, I really love RM so far, we'll see...

They updated mine automatically.
I had to turn off the updates as it seems something weird is going on.

Hmmm.. i know RankMath gonna do the same.

They updated mine automatically.
Maybe cause you turn on auto-update for RM plugin?
There's an option for turn ON/OFF auto update plugins I guess.

People still use SEO plugins for on page SEO? That will only help you over-optimize your contents. Lol

If you need to do onpage SEO, do it naturally and add your keyword or keyword variations when you feel it's necessary and not when some plugin tell you that you need to.

@splishsplash has a very comprehensive onpage SEO guide here on this forum so make sure you check that out too.

And yes, RankMath was updated. I also don't recommend auto updating plugins especially free ones.

I completely agree with this gentleman. Now is the time when you need to optimize your content primarily for people and not for machines. But of course you shouldn't forget about the basics of SEO :)
And ofc auto updating = so low. You must be sure of the updates before they are installed

It was on by default, I had to turn it off today.

I'm not depending on RM, I'm using it to fix an old blog posts, I have like 100 posts that I wrote 2 years back when I was not into IM, I have decided few months back to get in IM, so I'm fixing this blog as it is already ranking for some kws, I don't want to waste time on these posts, as they just a blah, I'm trying to fix some few things like titles, meta tags and so on, just to make the site appealing for google, this site health score per ahrefs is 25! it is driving me NUT. So I figured, I will fix all titles, meta tags and so on for all previous blogs and then start again posting some interesting articles for my IM purposes under same niche. RM was doing good up until last night. I agree with you, RM and these tools are a blah, they are not for a very serious SEO work.

I'm hoping after I fix all the titles and meta tags and so on for all posts, I will not be using RM much, I have other things to use, but also hoping the health score will improve a bit. WP is kind of a learning process for me now, trying to figure out what is the heck going on with this low health score, but that is another thread on its own, I will post again once I'm done with the RM work.

Goodluck mate. :)

I think RankMath has an option that lets you rollback an update. I've never had to use something like that on any of my websites but I think I've seen it before.

Just Google "rollback RankMath update" or play around with the settings directly on your site. I'm 80% sure they have something like that in place.

You can rollback to the previous version. Check the status and tools tab.

I just did a rollback some moment ago.
