Rankings Moving Slower?

Seems weird, I have been doing SEO for years now and never seen the rankings so stagnant. Anyone else noticed rankings are moving really slow for sites that aren't new. Seems like a new site I built has some movement but on my older ones they're not moving much at all and I'm doing the same backlinking I have always done if not more. Anyone else notice this?

Actually I'd say the same, it's definitely taking Google longer to increase rankings, never seen it like this before.
 
Ya I just mean to increase rankings, seems like they still drop the same.
 
Same here. I did a few SEnuke blasts last week and the sites hardly did anything at all. I don't know why.
 
I'd say the key here is "diversify" - mix your techniques, add something new. I've had rankings drop on my 14 yo domain for some keywords and I managed to get them to page one using mostly link pyramids, SB blasts and some bookmarking. If done right - you may see 20-30 position upward movement from a good campaign in a week. That's my experience, anyway.

Is the timing of this change correlated with Panda 2.6, October 13/14? Would you say that was around the time things started slowing down?

I haven't noticed but that's probably because I'm too preoccupied with the changes in my sites' ranking from Panda; I expected they'd take a while to recover.
 
Google added a delay in increasing ranking after backlinks are built in a effort to minimize people finding out how to gamle the algorithm..
 
Yup exactly during that period, I thought it was just cuz there was a shakeup and it would get back to normal but it's been awhile now. Guess I gotta get more aggresive and diversify even more and see what happens.

Yes that's because Google added a lot more to their algorithm, so it's taking the spiders more and more time to research and rank
 
I did a huge unique content pyramid on one of my easier keywords, and it wouldn't budge. Not a single spot. Here's hoping that when this panda sh*t is over, it'll jump to the first page.
 
I noticed this to but I also noticed Google takes so long to reindex my webpage which is probably why I don't see a increase yet.
 
I had a keyword move from spot #150 to #63 early last week, so I haven't as of yet noticed anything negative.

Said this 4 days ago and have not noticed any shift since.
Ratings are not just stagnant, almost no one is moving, unless they're moving down (the few that are moving up I'm convinced are google experimenting with garbage websites, as they all have almost no backlinks, horrible content, and comment spam)

I've had new sites go from not in top 1000 to top 5 for very very noncompetitive niches, try to get SERP movement with real competition right now, ie 100k/yr in revenue or more for top spots (like going from top 15 to top 5). Try to even gain a single position.

How do you determine site's revenue based on keyword competition? Is it possible at all? If so - I'd love to know!

I have a solid facebook fan calculator, at least for the niches I'm in... I research based upon my sales vs their sales vs facebook likes/day

You can also tell by general conversion ratios... though this varies with how the website is made, I can usually get conversions in the 8-10% range even with pricey psuedos.

So 10,000 uniques from a term/day = at least 500 conversions say at an average price of $80... yeah
Say 1/10 customers like your facebook (this is a general thing I've noticed) and a fanpage has 70,000 real people as fans (not paid, you can tell such things). You can do rough guesstimates.
