Rankings drop after domain change

Hello,

Merely two weeks ago i have made a domain change and i have followed Google's advices (301 old domain to new one, same URLs structure, Change of Address request,etc).
But my new domain has lower rankings than my old domain and i don't know why.
In addition, i've noticed that my old domain still indexed and some pages have their cache refreshed in Google.

Even when done perfectly it can take a couple months or more to get back to where you were.

Here are some things to check:

Canonical URLs updated?
Links in navigation updated?
Links in content updated?
Links in sitemaps updated?
Sitemap resubmitted?
Links in PPC updated?
Links in product feeds updated?
Links in RSS feeds updated?
Legacy redirects updated?
New domain has valid certs?
New domain verified in GSC?
New domain verified for HTTPS in GSC?

Thanks for your answer. I found some links in navigation which pointed to my old domain, so i have changed them. All others things are checked and correct.
 
Try to redirect all your old URL and make sure add a site in search console for the existing property.
 
If you changed and I think you did the content structure then position might be different in plus or in minus.
Can't say much without checking all things - included the once which validseo pointed out.
 
Give it some time. Did you make all the inner page redirects at the same time or did it come later after several days?

I've just switched a huge service site from a 7 year old sturdy but generic domain to a 3-month old branded domain and it took 2 - 3 weeks to get the old rankings (and on some, even better).

Mind you this is a 100-page site so I double checked on every setting out there to be 100% sure.

You my old urls pointed to my new domain with same url's structure. So i will wait and see if Google moves. :)
 
Other members all have good points. If it's only been two weeks you definitely need to give it more time. I've seen it take months for the dust to settle and I've also seen it happen more quickly. In general the more authoritative the site was to begin with, the faster the wrinkles get ironed out with a domain change (assuming it was moved correctly). After 90 days if things don't go back to normal then I would start worrying.

You should also get busy building links to the new domain. Changing existing links is also key. The more exposure you can get for the new domain online the better your chances will be of maintaining your previous rankings (or better yet improving them).

2 weeks ain't nothing in seo any more. give it a month or so and it'll settle.

the more time google takes, the more adwords you buy in the meantime, that's their business model until some other search engine comes along.
 
yes it happen when you change domain because some word which is included in your old domain which is not now on new domain that is why this happen.

It is too early to say that something has gone wrong. Just wait for another 2 weeks and make sure that All points mentioned by validseo are done.
