Ranking Wordpress category

Hi all,

Is anyone else struggling to rank wordpress category pages? Since the last panda update I dropped 4 spots and can't budge my way back up. I've tried everything, slow dripped at first and moved one spot. I recently blasted with 1000 blog posts staggered over the week pr2-5 and mixed in some decent anchor diversity and I still haven't seen any change. I've added 4 more articles with 100 word excerpts on Tuesday and dripped them in over 7 days so well see if that makes a difference.

Do you have some unique content on that page only excerpts?

it's a Wordpress category so it holds about 300 articles over a couple of pages. The excerpts are the only real bits of content for that category page though

I am very curious on this but unfortunately have no input. I am trying to figure out whether to build categories or separate pages for each of the low comp. keywords that I'm trying to rank for. Anyone have any input?
