As we know Web2.0 have been around for quite some time and to be honest I always thought they were low quality links and pure spam.

But people still keep buying and selling those "quality" Web2.0 properties and I don't quite understand why... I know some of you managed to rank and bank with those links... but Do any of you actually use websites for personal use which SEO'ed with web2.0 properties? I don't use search engines that often but I've never seen a site ranking high in search engines just with Web2.0 links.

Still Working Good for Low Competition Keywords mate.

Also Web 2.0 are Useful for Buffer as well.

Well I use them to add diversification to my link profile, one type of links were never enough to rank a site to 1st page

Yes.Web 2s are good, when it comes to backlinking. I can't think of a better way of diversifying my backlinks.

Web 2.0 alone will not do the trick, for longtail keywords they are great had some succes with it already. That does not mean you don't need high quality links from blogs, social media, pbns etc.

There's nothing wrong with 2.0's, if they're properly built, and filled with decent content.

My point is that I haven't seen a decent website which had web2.0 properties linking to it... Authority websites have a very wide range of links but they don't seem to have blog comments and web2.0 properties.

Everything works bro. The thing is, not everything works on everything.
In this case web 2.0 don't work on high competition KW, It helps but you can't rank high with just web 2.0. But in low cometition KW it works pretty well.

They did for investment because it has a lot of money.
So graffic tends to rise, and reserve money to help them to continue to purchase the service.

That's what I think the buyer links.

Thus offset the cost of purchasing links as they begin to produce

You will never see a site ranking high in the search engines with just web 2.0s links because it takes a combination of links to rank in Google. Web 2.0 links can be high quality links depending on the quality of the article published on it and the kind of backlinks it has.

Thank you guys for your help.
I tried a few web2.0 links just for the sake of diversity but in all honesty I'm not a fan of them but they help to confuse the people who try to steal your link profile.

The reason I asked is that I have a feeling that google doesn't have a problem with web2.0 but it has a problem with all the spam pointing to them so I have a theory that google knows how to penalise aggressive tier2 and tier3 spamming.

Search Engine Optimization Marketing Using web 2.0 properties to create highly targeted backlinks. It basically comes down to how well your on page SEO is, and off page SEO. Here are some pointers you can use to better SEO your site.

web 2.0 are great
i always build around 10 web 2.0 per keyword
and wait to see where do i land on the index
i work y way up from there

WEB 2.0 are powerful when you build strong tier 2 links. That way the PA is boosted and you also get Domain Authority as bonus.

well... seems like that most of the people boost it with spam and then come here to complain after being hit by every penguin update LOL

It all depends on how we build them and also if your keywords are not much competitive then it's enough to rank otherwise you need to build other type of links.

By the way, your website and content need to be perfectly optimized otherwise your website won't rank with any backlinks.
