Ranking with .me domains

I'm looking at buying a domain that will contain an exact keyword. Unfortunately, the dot coms, nets, infos, etc are all taken. Only .me is available.

I've only built websites around the dot coms and infos. How does the .me domain type compare to the other more well-known ones in terms of SEO?

mes suck. Stick to coms. Do a variation of the keyword, instead of redcar.com look for redcarsite.com
