dear all BHWers:

I was wondering if someone here would be nice enough to give me a guidance on ranking with google map for a local keyword term with city specific in google and bing? I saw my competitors are doing it, and one thing that is strange is that google map displays differently depending on the keywords! For example, one would have multiple business listed under ad, but the other would have only one business listed. Anyone might have an insight on why it is? I have done everything : verifying the business... , but the business is nowhere to be found. This one seems like a topic that has not been discussed alot. I have searched and read all the topics on bHW ( I think) in reference to this topic but found nothing. I do not think sending GSA to this page is a good idea ? and even if I do, will it affect negatively on my site ranking or that is separate?
I have not done any citation package because i have read mixed reviews on the affects of that, and also read that google map does not update regularly and they have changed how they rank these recently because it s different than normal SERP ranking.

I have posted a topic on Hire a freelancer, but no one is responding, so I guess I am going to do this myself. Any advice from who has successfully done this would be really appreciated!

Thank you all for reading!

I have listed out some suggestions here you may try it out,

#Verify your listings and given information is correct or wrong.
#You have to increase your inbound links and citations.
#Add some user reviews.
#Use some associated categories.
#Give your full address on contact page.
#Use your location keywords as an anchor text.

I think this will help you to get good SERP.

thanks Johnhat 99: do you recommend sending links to these listings or links to my site instead and the listing will follow in position? thanks

I think you can send links to your listings to be in better position.Clear with your Business place, because two location for one business will discredit by Google.
