So guys,

I found really low comp. keyword about the game modding, but there is no mods in this game. Created the site, copied some guides. Within three days website already ranked by main keyword in google. It's jumping between 36-50 positions (sometimes not in top 100). Do it will rank with copied content? Or i need to buy some articles?

I think using unique content with quality and quantity hit page one fast than others. I heard somewhere that number of words are important factor as well.

Using copied content will get you "penalized" for duplicate content. You will not maintain rankings without repeated unique content being added to the site.

Copied content won't help you, please use unique content.

Webmasters are confused about penalties for duplicate content, which is a natural part of the web landscape, because Google claims there is NO duplicate content penalty, yet rankings can be impacted negatively, apparently, by what looks like duplicate content problems.

Use some unique content or at least get it spinned.

Let me see if I understand, you found a low competition keyword in the gaming mod niche, but that certain keyword has no mods in the game? You found some guides you copied to rank this keyword. Your kind of losing me here a little, do the guides you copied also target this keyword or specifically targeting this keyword? If the guide you copied addresses this keyword somehow, but the guide you copied it from isn't ranking for this certain keyword and you properly optimize the page to rank for this keyword, I can't see why you couldn't rank for it with duplicate content, given that it's a low competition keyword and you aren't directly competing with the page you copied the content from.

With all that said, I don't encourage you to copy content from other people's sites, people work hard and pay lots of money for it, than you have to worry about your host shutting you down, dmca notices, it can get ugly if the owner is hell bent on keeping his content from being duplicated. Trust me most will try to do something about it if the owner is running a successful site.

It's obvious you should not use copied content.

Okay, i understand. So now how to do it, i have no money right now to buy articles, just delete all content and wait? Do seo articles are good for content?

Hi,
Copying the contents of others and using it in your own article is really bad and you will be really penalized...where the rank of an article depends on the uniqueness of the article..

It all depends on the domain authority, so the answer is yes you can rank, but in your case it seems that competition for your keyword is super low that is why google ranks "every" site, even with copied content, the reason is that there is not much content about your topic to choose from so google shows everything and doesn't filter much, but if you would come up with something unique you would rank much better easily.

agreed with all the answers; it is better not to use duplicate content

Re-write it mate. Sounds like you've found a decent keyword so why not give yourself the best chance with it...

I actually heard today that somebody said that one of their competitors completely copied their website with unique content, outranked them and afterwards, negative seo'd them. That is kinda messed up? Definitely.

However, I believe that's a waste of time and a wrong thing to do if you're trying to build reputation for a new website. Be unique, don't copy others work. Just like at school, while taking a math test kinda.

Be serious to post unique contents only, Google dose not support any duplicate content for rankings where you have a penalty risk.

I would just make sure those guides are unique. If you just copied and pasted them then your site will most probably get penalized for using duplicate content. You should always use unique, quality content to be safe.

No do not use copied content. It will never help you succeed. In the long run, It is best to have original.

For time being, you may get ranked on Google temporary for the very very low competitive keywords. But when Google start the Panda and Penguin update, you'll be no more at anywhere.
