Ranking websites in foreign countries

Hey guys,

i have been doing seo for niches in Germany buy purchasing english backlinks. But after the penguin update it is just not as effective anymore. I need to purchase tons of links to see satisfying results for medium competitive keywords and at the end i am spending a ton of money and the sites just do not rank or at least they stay for a while in the top and then they lose their rankings, i have tried anchor text diversification but even then it seems like i always need a lot of english links to get decent results and you pay for our german links almost a lot more than you would for english links. Do you have some ideas on how to handle it ? I kinda lost my income after the most recent updates and i do not really know where to start now, since i have no clue about link building, only about purchasing and stuff.
Would be cool if some of you guys could point me in the right direction. Right now it is so that i am reading tons of methods but i do not really know where to start and what to do and if this is right for me and it is just so complicated and my mind is all over the place here.

Try to get both english and german links. Where you're currently targeting? I mean google.com or in google.de?

google.de of course.

start by link building and aim to get both backlinks from international sites and german sites

OP, slow down. Maybe you have bought so many crap links that your site's backlinks seem like shit in the eyes of google.

So stop buying/getting backlinks. Concentrate on adding unique/quality content.

If nothing works, go for your plan B (I mean start a new fresh site)

Yeah i am buying some expensive links like on bhw or wf and then i am mixing them up with fiverr and think that they will be fine and after a while the sites just dissapear from the first 2 pages or they are stuck somewhere and it costs a lot of money to rank them. So maybe i just have to concentrate on long tail keywords if i can not do seo myself for good keywords.

WF and Fiverr links are very crappy links. Especially Fiverr. You should never be using any of those links on your money pages. The people submitting these types of links could care less what type of results you get because at the end of the day, you are paying them $5 per Fiverr gig.

If you are already spending a bunch of money on paying for links, you should start your own mini blog networks with like about 5-10 PR3 or higher blogs. (you will have a lot more control) You can easily find these type of high PR blogs on digital point or in the godaddy expired domains auctions.

These are very effective links and can rank medium to high level keywords with ease over time with a mixture of other links.

set your preferred domain in Google webmaster ...have you done that ?

Buy EMD country domain.
Build HIGH PR4+ DF links with less then 20% of the anchor text for MS
Build tons of social/wiki/bookmarks with multiple tiers
Wait.
Rank.

You mean the language ?

Ranking is largely the same. Just track your rankings in your respective country.

No More crap link work for long time.
More over now quality matters than quantity.

Things that may help you:

1. As its a German based niche try to scrap web2.0, forum, social bookmarking and niche related blog comment.

2. Make only German Article.

3. Drip each platform daily ( no mass links required)

4. Add social media to your links, Get them index.
