Hello!

I’ve got a small website (ENG) in some low competitive niche. I'm currently looking for some ways to enter the Asian market, specifically on Taiwan & Philippines.

I need to know where to start my ranking in this countries.

I will ask a couple of questions so that you have an idea of my knowledge and plans:

Should I make a subdomain for each version, for example tw.domain.com or ph.domain.com and choose a target country for each?

Or I should make just a lang version for each? f.e. domain.com/tw or domain.com/ph

Maybe I need to do article alike content for such queries like "... for sale Philippines" or "... Philippines"?

Should I do this at all? If so, in what language?

Is there any reliable platforms for crowd marketing in this countries (Quora alike etc.)?

I will be very grateful for any advice and any cases of promotion in these regions.

I would say it depends first of all on what languages you want to use for Taiwan and The Philippines.

1/ if your site is all in English (which by the way I am not sure will work well in Taiwan), then maybe just make specific landing pages for this country, like "guitar for sale in Taiwan"

2/ if you translate the site in Mandarin and Tagalog, then in this case I would do a subdomain like tw.domain.com (a folder is possible too); this way it is clear for google and for your readers that this is the Taiwanese part of the site, and it should help rank it on google.com.tw

3/ another way is to go all in by buying the domain in each country like domain.com.tw and domain.ph, which could help you even more for ranking in these 2 countries.

good quality article publish and daily basis

Sub folder is a better option IMO.

With sub domains, google views it as new domains. Hence, it will be harder to rank.

Yea I agree with safeseooboost. If you want to rank well in the local search engine easily, the way to achieve that would be to register for a country level domain, .com.tw or .ph and your website would have better chances in ranking there as compared to just a .com. Also, if you are able to do so, be sure to register for a Google Business page and get that page's address verified by requesting a verification code. Those pages work extremely well for local SEO, and you even get to have your business visible on Google Maps in the process.

Guys, thanks!
I will take into account all the above.

Most big websites in the Philippines write in English

True. If not most, then all. Haven't really come accross a site from the Philippines that's written in their local language.

SEO wise, why not focus on LOCAL SEO?
