Hi guys. I cannot seem to get my pages ranked for a site I have been working on, they lie in about the 200th position and dance around there.

I was just wondering if not having the root site indexed would effect the ranking of the deep pages.

    Thanks

so you mean your main index page isn't indexed?
it's pretty hard to get all the pages on a site indexed, unless they are the ones getting loads of traffic.
depending on the structure and design of your site, you could try making all the pages index pages within sub folders.
so if you have a page called "playstation", make a folder called playstation, and name the page index (within the playstation folder)

also try submit them to all the social sites (digg, reddit etc...)

i would try get my main indexed page ranked tho first

I have submitted everything using onlywire already. I don't know why the main page has not gotten indexed, but I will submit it again.
