Ranking Payday Loan Sites ... Need Help!

Hey Everyone. I've been doing SEO for sometime now and I have found that with time & the techniques I can rank just about anything. Currently, I have been working on a payday loan site attempting to rank for some pretty non-competitive keywords with in that industry. I bought the domain in Nov. 2012 . I'm doing everything "right" , indexed but i'm still NOT in the TOP 100 for ALL of my keywords.

Not that I expect to be on page 1 already, but NOT in the top 100 seems ludacris!

So, has google & other search engines blocked all sites dealing with this topic? Any thoughts?

slap on new content? or content from the original domain?

Yup it's unique! Why do think this will change things?
 
Just to see if the new domain will rank for the keywords - if it does, then your old domain has been dropped or penalized before.
 
Got it. Thank you! If it does not rank, then what? Then just keep doing what I am doing?
 
Yes, then continue with the new domain. If it doesn't rank, then you have at least a an idea of what's going on.
