Ranking on .com but not uk Google

Hey guys, hope all is well.

My latest project was to create a website on a specific keyword. The keyword is included in the domain, I've got content including the keyword. I've done everything 'I know'. I've also had blog comments and high PR backlinks created for the site.

However, my niche is SPECIFIC for an area in the UK, and it is ranking on Google.com at around #20 for the main keyword, but not even in the top 300 for the keyword on Google.co.uk

Any advice guys?

I know all about this area. It will take more time to rank for google.co.uk then google.com
From my tests i've seen it show up after maybe 2-3 months.
Other times i've ranked .co.uk google and not google.com for a month or so it's weird but over time it will show up on them.
Just watch and wait.

My domain is a .com as I've always gone with the belief that .com is better. Perhaps it was a bad idea in this sense though
 
You can Geotarget in webmaster tools but if you want to rank in the UK you get a .co.uk. If it's still available reg it up and go again.
 
Suppose I could use this as a "sign" to select a better niche.

What do you think of this: "BarsInCITY.co.uk" 880 monthly searches, with LOW competition.

(City is my specific city)
 
I've inserted some ENGLISH words/spellings in my blogs and have noticed a nice increase in my .co.uk visitors
 
Next time you get a co.uk. Now make sure you have UK hosting and build quality links from co.uk sites hosted in UK.

Since, your niche is UK based. So, you need to target local visitors. Build quality relevant links from CO.UK domains along with quality content which are liked by the people in UK.
 
Target In Webmaster And Built More Quality Links..
