Ranking number 1 in google

Hi all BHW members,

I'm a passive reader of this forum and i have read almost every thread in SEO topic. And and now I'm confused. Normally I don't make threads ,most of the time i use the search and find the solutions. But now i just don't know where to start.

My story.

I have a domainname www.example.net (example = the keyword i want to rank for. So the keyword i want to rank for is my domainname.

Google gives me 61.500 results for that keyword. Actually it is the local search of the Nederlands. (google.nl ) So i need only to tank for google.nl and search results from The nederlands.

My site is running on joomla and is seo optimised.



Now my question is where to start?

I have read alot about senuke? xrumer?
I was also planning to buy some backlinks from this forum.
I have also IBP but did not used it yet.

Now where should i start ? and what other options do i have.


You dont have to tell me how to do it. Just tell me what to do it and i will search my self and see how.

i would say start with content. Joomla will help you get better ranking in google. but it is a lot off work. If you stop updating youre website you fall back.
 
I've always had great luck with good old fashioned article marketing. Just make sure you put a link back to your site in your resource box...and of course make sure the anchor text of the link is your keyword.

In addition to this, if you can create some videos and syndicate them with Tube Mogul, that will help out considerably. I'm not sure how domains work where you are in Nederlands, but I've found that .coms and .orgs tend to rank best.....net and .info have always taken more links to get ranked (in my experience)

Start off adding a few articles to your site. Good articles, keyword rich, use LSI Keywords. Do some bookmarking of your articles, and do not ping your site, let google find it on it's on from backlinks. Find atleast 4-6 anchor texts to use for your link building, don't just build links to your main keyword, but also your LSI keywords.

The poster above talks about article marketing, do that. Just build your links slow and steady and you will have that top spot in no time if your on page seo is good.

If you take it slow, you should avoid the sandbox, if you hit the sandbox keep link building at the rate you were building before the sandboxing.
 
Hi thank you all for your replies. Yeah then i will start with article marketing. I will start right now. If you have other tools or methofs just post it:) I will be happy to read them.
 
1. Fresh Content
2. Backlinks (You can never have too many......slowly build these)
3. Social Bookmarking

I would invest in a tool like Scrapebox if you plan to build more sites in the future.

Yeah the problem is it's just a bakkery(wedding cake decorating bakkery), so i don't see what kind of content i could write everyday. I think i will wirte romantic articles in the wedding theme and also talk about wedding cakes and make a link to my website and submit to article databse sites.

You don't have to write everyday. Write once a week, once every two weeks. Just get 4-6 articles ready to post every few days first, then you can slow down your posting after you get ranked.
 
Weddings and related articles sound like a good plan. I just put "Wedding Cake" and "bakery" in the "G" Keyword tool and it produced all types of results. I do not think you are going to have problems with finding content.
Summer is almost here so there will be more and more searches for those types of things.
 
have you got a twitter account and tried tweeting link to your website whenever new content is published?

WHat is the fastest way to get backlinks from socialbookmarks?
I know onlywire . . .any other suggestion?

No i did not and now i feel stupid. Thanks for reminding me.

I was planning to read some twitter strategies (i saw some here on BHW) also found some guides. Will give it a shot and see what happens.

name your twitter account your main keyword or some form of it.

Well i am not promoting ping in my signature...but definitely go for ping.fm & onlywire . Make accounts on them and add them in ping.fm and onlywire interfaces.Add the ping and onlywire accounts in your blog/site with the help of available free plugins.I think each plugin can support maximum of 5 accounts per blog.

So when ever you will update anything on your blog, It will be published on all the sites which you have added sucessfully in ping and onlywire.

Easy Bookmarking and good for traffic too. :)

I have been busy but still no ranking in google. But i rank number one in yahoo for my main keyword so i guess im doing right until now? or it's just yahoo that sucks?

BTW i really put a lot of effort into onpage seo. IBP show me 71% score. I want to take it higher. Then i will begin with offpage seo.


I also heared that those directory lists are useless? That i only should post in high pagerank direcotries?

One other question about xrumer, i know it's blackhatt and thats why im asking in whitehatsection. Is there a chance that google bann my website ? My business is for longterm. I don't want to hurry but a great boost will be fine.

If your business is long term then try to stay away from xrumer or build 2-3 tier web 2.0 sites and blast the xrumer with those sites instead of your site directly...Believe me directly promoting your site with xrumer is a Bad idea..I do it myself but I'm very careless...And also in the process of testing if it is bad or not :)

Hi thanks fr you reply,

I googled but did not found the information i was looking for so i will ask it to you. I did not understand what u mean by creating 2-3 tier web 2.0 sites and blast the xrumer with this. I don't understand how you take benefit of xrumer's blast with your indiriect methode.
