Ranking loss after internal linking

A category of my site has 13 posts (1 money post and 12 informational posts). I implement the internal link model as below: the money post receives the most links, exact-match anchor text with variations.
Before, the money post sat at position 6. After internal linking for some days, it is now down to position 10. What should I do now

Is the anchor text the main keyword and have you used it on all the inter linking ?

If so there is a possibility of over optimization..

Well, my site has mostly backlinks to homepage, so i added links on homepage to inner posts to pass link juice with exact match anchors.
Some guys says that is is bad.
But i have no idea how to link with non exact match on adult site when linking to categories as example.

Internal anchor texts can be over-optimized just like external ones.

Try reverting back and see what happens.

With that being said, new update is about to happen and I think they are already testing things so it might be related to that as well.

I would advise waiting up to 2-3 weeks before coming to a conclusion. It could just be a coincidence.
