Ranking landing pages for localilzed keywords

So we are trying to get various landing pages ranked for localized country and area .com searches.

Besides employing basic on page SEO I'm wondering what you guys think of these other tactics.

*Adding a fake address specific to the country or area at the bottom of the landing page
*Registering and getting links from local sites, directories, blogs, etc (DOES the LFE program work good for this?)
*Using a original content per area that's one click away from the landing page (like articles, etc)
*Feeding content from my blog that's category specific to the country on the landing page.

Any other tips would be much appreciated

I don't think anyone has done it better than Yahoo... They redid the way they do things about 3-4 years ago, and they are the king.

Search things like: Miami Hotels and other topics, and look at their pages. It's not what they have, it's how they display, add in key words, etc.
