Ok, so this might get long - please bear with me. lol. Will try to break it out into sections that are not only easy(-ish) to read, but make sense & flow.
MAIN IDEA:
I'm looking to get a lander in front of eyeballs via enticing traffic to google a "fake" KW.
By "fake KW", I mean I'll make up a long tail (3-4 words) KW likely based or having to do with the name of a product.
For example, say I wanted to promote clickfunnels. My "fake" KW might be "darren's daily cf discount".
If I wanted to promote some Roblox CPA offer, it might be "RBX Hack Pro".
TRAFFIC:
Traffic will come from comments on heavily trafficked platforms that entice people to go google my "fake" KW.
So say I'm on a subreddit about Roblox. I might publish a comment that says something "I found a way to get free Robux when I googled 'RBX Hack Pro'...pretty sure it's still working".
(The same could be done on Twitter, FB groups, youtube, etc.)
People see the comment, then go google whatever fake KW I've just prompted them to look for ("RBX Hack Pro" in this instance).
It's more effort than just linking to a lander, but this should ensure that the comments stay around much longer / don't get ghosted.
KEYWORDS:
Obviously, I'm making these up. As I said, they'll be long tail and somehow related to the offer / product I want to promote.
As I'm making them up, they'll have *no* search volume, and these aren't terms that will eventually get organic searches on their own...that's fine. There will also be *no* exact match search competition, but there could be pages / sites with competing LSI terms.
Because of how I'm driving traffic, I'm only interested in one "fake" KW per niche / offer...not creating a ton of pages for a ton of KWs.
LANDER / PAGE / SEO:
I want my traffic getting to a lander - think headline, maybe sub-headline, and CTA button.
*How* to do this is something I've not figured yet - mostly because I don't know what would best / mostly easily rank.
For instance would just a lander itself (though it'd have almost no content) be enough to rank given proper on-page factors (title, meta description, etc)?
Maybe setup a long article with videos, pics, etc, then put a lander in a "welcome mat" (like what Sumo or Thrive offers) over the top?
Create the lander at the top of a page, then simply just space down quite a bit before putting the content?
Do EMDs matter anymore? (I haven't done any active SEO since the original rollout of Panda / Penguin.)
Would it make sense to get an expired domain and put my content on that (kinda like Terry Kyle talked about in his Monster Truck SEO)? Or should I just start out with a new domain?
I'll obviously promote a wide range of offers / products - mostly likely, they will *not* be related to one another. Since I'm only going after one "fake" KW per niche / offer, should I just stick everything on the same domain, giving each offer it's own inner page? Or create a new mini-site for each offer, putting the "lander" on the homepage?
Would backlinks even matter with something like this? I'm assuming some small amount of social signals might be a good idea?
