Ranking Inner Pages Instead - Pages and Post

Hello Everyone,

I need your help.

I started building an authority website. My main KW is tagged by UNF as 'moderate'.

Also, I have multiple 'very easy' KWs (related to the main KW). What i did is create unique articles using the 'very easy' KW and publish this as a blog post.

For example:
mydog.com is my domain which targets KW 'dog'.
I have mydog.com/food_for_dog as my inner page (this is the unique article)

Question now is, Can I instead focus doing SEO on the inner articles (mydog.com/food_for_dog) FIRST rather than the main KW (domain name)?

I'd like to do this because the KW used in my post is easier to rank as per UNF and simply because I would like to see faster result.

Please share your thoughts.

pretty sure you answered your own question with your deep thought process......

yeah ofcourse IMO ! why now ? just make sure you don't build tons of backlinks with the same keywords.

Most definitely! But yeah, makes sure you don't do anything Google doesn't like.

Look at websites which have natural link building, and copy their link profile. The homepage will typically receive a lot more links and brand mentions than inner pages. Don't go crazy with 1337 thousand links on an inner page.

1 authority link is good enough to rank the homepage or any other page fast.

Yes you can. Actually it is a good technique to build rank on the low competition kw you have on your inner page. Then you will pass good juice to your main kw.

in building links in inner pages, would you recommend using GSA?

worst comes to worst if the backlinking is not done properly, will it affect my main domain?
