Ranking inner page vs homepage

Hi All,

I have a 1.5 year old domain that is ranking position 9/10 on page 1 but will not move despite getting some night PBN links to it. The competition is inner pages from some big sites and some small sites (the same as my own). Some of these sites don't have many links are are not that old so I am starting to think that Google would rather rank the inner page rather than the homepage of my site as it is refusing to move and as I have said these sites don't have many links to the inner pages OR the homepage. I feel like Google is favouring inner pages as they are more relevant usually than a homepage would be. Has anyone else seen this?

If so I will rejig the onsite SEO and rank an inner page instead but interested to hear peoples input on this first.

If you are alr ranking on page 1, i don't think you should remake the seo and rank inner page instead, as this might not turn out any good. Would focus on adding more quality links on the existing ranking page

If your homepage is optimised for this keyword, you can rank with it pretty much like any other page,
there's no difference for real, you're most likely desperate to rank the page & assuming this,
make a comparison out of these ranking websites content, number of pages, ranking keywords, structure, internal linking & their links ofc,
if you want to outrank them, simply make something better

In my experience, homepage will always outrank an inner page as it naturally has more external and internal link juice.

Its doesn't work like that, you can rank every page with correct optimization. Just wait for the results, sometimes it takes time.

You need to interlink your web pages where the link juice flows to the inner pages.
