Ranking in italy = .it backlinks?

Hey guys.
So, I am trying to rank a italien keyword, which only needs to rank in italy. So right now my question is, how much does it matter if the backlinks I get is from italy(.it domains) or .com domains?
And does anyone know where I could buy STRONG .it backlinks? Assuming the providers are small, but maybe someone knowing a guy having a italien pbn or something :)

Let me know what you guys think. How would you aproach it? Having 2 domains, 1 expired .it and 1 normal .it related to keyword. both ranking 4x with some simple web 2.0 tier 1 links and onpage seo done.
What would your next step be?

Well .it backlinks will probably help.
Why wouldn't you hunt/buy some .it expired domains and create your own PBN?
Although I'm sure that normal pbn will work too.
 
Yes, having .IT backlinks will help massively.

1) Get local citations from .IT domains.

2) Ask around PBN service providers and check if they have .IT domains as their PBNs.
 
You can get it from PBN sites which they provide Italian links too, but make sure that the links you are getting that should not contain any spam.
I think getting back links form italy will brings you less traffic to your site.
 
The answer is no. U will need hq content, good onpage seo, social signals and hq links. For example I ranked a high comp german kw with romanian and English links.
 
It doesn't matter indeed, you can get links from other extensions too. I'm currently ranking Dutch sites with English PBN's and it works perfectly fine.
 
Language is not a matter for building backlinks. It matters only the quality of contents as well as the quality of backlinks. But it has less worth for your site. So, try to build backlinks in the same language that your money site belongs.

I've 2 Italian sites that are both ranked #1 for their main keywords on Google.it with English backlinks only. You can also rank sites on Google.com with Russian links. The strength of the links matter more than the TLD.
 
The TLD is usually better off being .com. However, if you wanted specifically Italian rankings, it may help.
 
If you want to be on the safe side and rank long term I would only go for country specific links.
 
The TLD extension doesn't matter shit, what will really help is having the articles that point to your money site in Italian (relevancy signal). However, even with English articles and Italian anchor texts, you will get good results. As always, it's the strength and the relevancy of the backlinks that matter, not the extensions.

Finding .it domains to build your PBN sites is 10x harder than finding usual .com domains (or buying them from the marketplace) and it's NOT worth the trouble when normal PBN sites with popular extensions work as well as .it domains. As I said, the extension does not matter shit - relevancy and strength are the key factors that matter. This is no guru preach, this is based on real life data from my own tests (and it also works well for many other people I know).

I've got access to a few number of Italian Media but not every link could be used there (gambling. erotic, etc - doesn't work)

For local seo (seo in your country), yes you'll need more backlinks from .it domains , or .com , .net, .info, .gov etc domains but with italian language .
Also you'll need more keywords on italian language than english .
All that are factors , so it depents the keyword you want to rank , the page that is linked in , and the place you're living (country ,and state) for big countries .
Don't buy strong or week backlinks , build them by yourslelf , you gonna like it :D
