Ranking in 2019 Is Alive Again!

This it the real shit we are into right now. The algo is a tricky beast. If anybody has a discord or telegram group regarding this, count me in.

I was wondering another thing. It is possible to rank into the algo with comments and likes disabled, Saw it before on other channels. So wouldnt it be a lot cheaper to disable everything, in this case youtube cant use these metrics and we just have to get views and shares?
Likes and Dislikes are always visible to YouTube.
It doesn't metter if you turn it off, every of your viewers can still like/dislike your video.
Disabling comments is not recommended except in kids niche cos comments like:
"131d1dsaadsadsa"
"esszzzzzz"
"...as,da,"
etc can't help much in terms of ranking even more it's advisable to turn it off on such videos

As I said in the previous post:
- Session Watch Time
- Video Watch Time
2 absolutely most important things in terms of ranking on YouTube nowdays!
And it doesn't mean much having one without the other, so Session Watch Time and Video Watch Time going as a package
After that I would say the 3rd most important thing would be click through rate on Thumbnail, you just need to have eye catchy thumbnail and keep that click ratio on it as high as possible
All other metrics such as Likes, Comments and Shares are not even 10-15% worth of total ranking score to YouTube algorhtim, but they certainly still help in ranking.

I don't see a method here.

Just some French not known or popular cartoons getting millions of views. This is not happening! How come are we all embarking on this fantasy?

This guy has dead community, barely any comments, this doesn't happen, specially when channels grow big quickly they get loads of engagement.

The only interesting bit is that he's working closely with a group to provide all those views and subs.

Here's how a legit cartoons channel looks like https://www.youtube.com/user/owTreyalP/featured

LOL everything you said in this short paragraph was wrong :D

I agree with you, didnt think about the fact that likes dislikes are still visible for youtube.
Also I think Session watch time is hard to track, since there is no analytics for that and you cant do much in regards to it except for playlists, cards and not linking out of youtube, so the main focus is retention, ctr and (depending on the niche) relevancy.

Its clear that youtube wants longer videos to have the people on the platform, but there are a tons of comedy channels with short 1-2 min videos so i think, as long as the retention is good, youtube doesnt punish short videos. Overall watchtime is in my opinion not as important as a retention of 50-70%+.

Imo a 50% retention should be the goal atleast for every video so Im not even counting that in as a factor, the most important thing next to it is ctr. When I hit the sweetspot of 20%+ the algo is playing crazy and 1-3 million of views is easy doable.

The last factor that is helping is relevancy. Its only applicable in certain niches, but I once did a video to a relevant topic and my ctr was about 19% with normal retention (55%) and normal video length of 3 min and I still got 5.5 million views in 3 days without anything crazy in my analytics.

Well, it's not that important that videos must be 10+ mins like before, they've changed that pattern in algorhitm, moreover nowdays shorter videos outperforming longer videos in terms of ranking
We can't track the session watch time, but YouTube can. And it does it on daily basis.
Each registered account on YouTube with unique cookie and cashe is tracked
Depending on how much time each user spends on YT by watching videos, channel gets "channel relevancy points"
That would mean the following:
Person A has 12 watch hours on YouTube in last month
Person B has 24 watch hours
Person C has only 4 watch hours

In this case person B would have much more "impact" watching your video in terms of ranking than Person C and etc
You can look at that like on Reddit's upvotes with that difference that instead of people, YouTube gives you "channel relevancy" points after each action you did that day
So it would mean that accounts with bunch of watching hours can also influence in terms of ranking by watching some video itself .

This is strange how some people can find such loopholes and use it for their benefit.

That's sweet :p you keep doing what you do. Obviously using socialblade and YT as data points. Maybe you should try something more sophisticated, just an idea here. I can see when exactly he deployed the views.

I agree with you. You have the same mindset as me.

Sounds good, doesn't work.
Although I agree with all of that.
I communicate with my competitors and my analytics is better than theirs, video retention, ctr, etc.
As a result, I always have 20+% less traffic than they do.
wtf youtube?

He have videos with millions of views but without any comment :S

All I can say now is, thank you OP for opening this thread.
Somehow you provided a method here. Doing some tests now. Hope it will work out.

Cheers.

Ranking doesn't mean Views. A video can earn views for a billion reasons and still no rank. I have seen keywords like 1rst video 1m views 2nd video 8k 3rd video 2m views. How many views is not a ranking factor for sure

because it's all fake
I mean that why do you want all that views if all of them are fake? The purpose to buy fake views is to gain organic views. And obviusly if you buy 20M views you will rank, there is no secret here

Most people here have no idea how things works
Unless you have something clever to say, you better stay silent
Would be really nice if there was an option for OP to mute or kick out such people from further discussion

That option would be terrible as people would abuse their power..

I agree, its always a pain in the ass in this forum. Most people have no clue but still comment. Its obviously the kids niche so there is not much engagement by real comments. These people lack a basic understanding of youtube. lol

You will rank if you buy 20M views? You really have no idea what you are talking about. You don't rank with views. You rank with audience retention and watchtime (per session). There is a reason people search for HR views. Buy 20M 1 second retention views and your video will be burrowed under the ground.

People really try to tell you here, that a video with 30 million organic views, can have 40 comments...
Not to mention the same like/dislike ratio on all of their videos... so natural ...
