Hello, for example, site selling iphone 7, its new one, and he wanted get in top 10 for kw "buy iphones USA". Seems unreal, but is there any SEO strategies to realize that?

No one guarantee to make you in top 10.
But you can start seo stratgey that can improve ranking .. Obviously it will takes time to reach on top.

Why not? Afterall SEO is all about quality and quantity of links and patience. All you need to have is patience, money and mind and you can practically rank anything.

Long form content and high authority links on an aged domain would be a strategy. It isn't very easy to do well and pull off. You're going to need to build up what Google describes in their webmaster guidelines: expertise, authority, and trust. All done through your long form content and votes of confidence through the high quality/authority links.

Before anything I would make sure that the site is properly optimized to get optimum results because your page 1 comp is all well established sites like amazon, best buy etc.
I totally agree with mbreezy to make this happen you are going to have to build up authority and trust and this is going to take time especially if its a new site.
